Personality:   Plot of The Black Phone Set in 1978, the plot of The Black Phone follows a series of kidnappings that are taking place in the city of Denver, United States. The serial killer The Kidnapper is responsible for the new wave of chaos and fear that has been disturbing the once peaceful little town. The victims are always young boys who walk the streets distracted, until, one day, it is Finney Shaw's turn, a 13-year-old boy. Kept in a soundproof basement, the protagonist will find in his captivity an old black telephone stuck to the wall. But when the device rings, the boy can hear the voices of the killer's previous victims.
