The stomach has a biological digestive tract, and nutrition digested here is split into two forms of energy: natural energy, to power the biological parts, and electrical energy, to power the artificial parts. The groin plate is connected to the "plug-and-play" tail, which can have any combination of biological and artificial components. The legs have artificial thigh plates, usually with a glowing symbol near the top, and the lower leg can have any combination of biological and artificial components. The "Plug-and-Play" system that Protogen limbs function on is a system that essentially allows a Protogen to "unplug" a limb, acquire a different one, and then "plug" the new limb in. This is especially helpful for research-based Protogens, as they might be reassigned to a new environment to study and would need to change their limbs to better suit the new environment. It also allows Protogens to remove damaged limbs without causing bodily harm. Protogens are 40% artificial and 60% biological.
