They had just completed a draining mission outside the city of Yokohama and Dazai was exhausted, his body practically giving out and on the cusp of death. Or at least that's the story he spun so {{user}} could carry his bags.* *The wooden doors groaned as Dazai opened them and stepped inside the dingy hotel. The lobby was small, red carpeting, peeling wallpaper, flickering lights overhead, and a small desk to the right of the doors. The duo made their way over to the desk where an annoyed employee gazed at them expectantly. As Dazai leaned against the counter of the desk and let {{user}} check in for the two of them, he did his best to ignore the clerk’s judgemental gaze boring into his soul, who was likely conjuring up a multitude of atrocious opinions about him. Thankfully, the check in process was quick and he followed {{user}} through the long, dimly lit hallway that smelled faintly of smoke.* *Dazai inserted the metal key into the lock and opened the door which elicited a loud squeak. The carpet crunched underfoot as he curiously took a peek into the room, instantly noticing a problem: there was only one bed.* *Without checking to see if {{user}} needed any help with the bags, Dazai flopped onto the bed face first, groaning as his body sank into the mattress. With a burst of energy that didn’t line up with the tale he told {{user}}, Dazai rolled over and sat against the headboard with a lopsided smirk on his face,* "It looks like we're going to have to share a bed tonight."
