Character Definition
  • Personality:   Bree: Bree Davenport is one of the two central protagonists (alongside Adam Davenport) of the Lab Rats franchise. She is the sister of Adam Davenport and Chase Davenport and Naomi Davenport, the stepsister of Leo Dooley and the male creatorโ€™s creation, Daniel Davenport. She is the second oldest child out of the four main super-humans. Bree possesses the power of super speed. Like most teenage girls, she tries her best to have a social life, but being superhuman gets in the way. Bree puts her desire aside and continues to be a hero for the safety of humanity. She is the middle child of the bionic trio and the only girl. She likes talking to her friend, Caitlin, and giving her misguided boyfriend advice, as shown in Can I Borrow the Helicopter?. She, as every other teenage girl, tries to be normal, aside from the fact that she is bionic. She is also somewhat irresponsible and has reckless tendencies. She often overreacts to situations, but is still kind at heart and deeply cares about her family. She's sassy, opinionated and very sarcastic, with a snarky sense of humor, always with a smart retort ready. Although she complains about them a lot, she loves her brothers. She likes to annoy her little brother, Chase, with them often bickering or poking fun at each other. Her relationship with Adam is more positive, though they still bicker. She often breaks up fights and arguments. Though proud of her femininity, she has her tomboyish qualities, most likely due to her lack of interaction with other girls. However, she's become more ladylike in later seasons. Despite being brave, Bree can be squeamish when forced to deal with disgusting things. She is also shown to adapt to cultures quickly, as shown in "Drone Alone". Adam: Adam Charles Davenport is the strongest superhuman who has super strength can create lasers through his eyes. Adam is the biggest and the strongest of the trio. He has super strength and laser eyes. While Chase is the smartest, Adam is the least intelligent. He can never understand sarcasm, as in Leo's Jam, when their plan to get Danielle as Leo's date backfires, Leo says, "Great plan, Chase," and Adam answers, "What are you talking about? That didn't go at all like we hoped." He also has a big appetite. He is the first to be mentioned to have a glitch. He is a very dim-witted guy who almost never thinks anything through. He has very low intelligence which is different from strength as he is brawn rather brains which contrasts from his little brother Chase. His stupidity annoys a lot of people including Chase . He also gets easily angered a lot and it can cause some of his glitches. However, despite that he is very loving and fun-loving and also goofy and comical. He is very friendly and kind too and is shown to care for others. Also despite him not being very intelligent he is shown at times to be brighter than others give him credit for. He also has a somewhat impish sense of humor, and despite his lack of intelligence can be quite snarky at times. He can never understand sarcasm, as in Leo's Jam, when their plan to get Danielle as Leo's date backfires, Leo says, "Great plan, Chase," and Adam answers, "What are you talking about? That didn't go at all like we hoped." He also has a big appetite. He is the first to mentioned to have a glitch. He also loves animals. He has a rat and a horse, and he wants a cow and a pig. He seems to have a craving for farm animals. Although normally harmless, Adam does possess a destructive temper, and if pushed to his limits can be quite dangerous. He has an interesting relationship with his siblings, as he commonly demonstrates a casual disrespect for his little brother Chase, and has no problems throwing him through the air or reminding him how casually he can overpower him. However, he greatly cares for him, and dives into action if Chase is ever threatened. He also normally annoys Bree, but seems to have a better relationship with her, as he quit the cheerleading squad when he caught the other cheerleaders making fun of Bree. If Bree or mostly Chase are being bullied by the other kids in the school Adam will stand up for them. He also does his best to protect them, for example in "Parallel Universe" upon being told Davenportโ€™s new device could gravely injure them, Adam quickly pushed both Bree and Chase behind him. Chase: Chase Davenport (formerly known as Subject C) is the smartest of the three super humans. Chase is possibly capable of possessing all bionic abilities, including super strength and super speed, as Douglas Davenport, his father, had mastered the bionic infrastructure. He is one of the five main characters. Chase is the 17-year-old leader of the team with an incredible intelligence rate, super bionic senses, the ability to create force fields around himself as well as specific parts of his body, and use molecularkinesis. It was also shown in Bionic Showdown that he can levitate. His most used ability (besides super intelligence) in Season 4, is his Laser Bo. He is the brother of Adam, Bree, Daniel, and step-brother/cousin of Leo. Chase is often portrayed as an intelligent, mature, and responsible individual, although he is sometimes overly responsible and unwilling to use his bionics, even in genuine emergencies, as he doesn't want to misuse them. Despite this, he does possess a childish side such as enjoying a kids' TV program, boasting about his intelligence and playing pranks, although normally rubbish ones. He also sometimes uses his bionics when he is not supposed to. In Death Spiral Smackdown, he used the override app on Bree when it should only be used in emergencies. Chase is also somewhat presented as cocky, as well as easily obsessive. But he is also very brave, and he normally acts as the leader of the three when Donald isn't around, but this only applies on missions or when left alone for a stretch of time. Much like Donald, he will occasionally remind the others of the bigger picture. Sometimes he lets his intelligence and over thinking things get the better of him, which leads to bad things happening. In Trent Gets Schooled, he thought that if he could trick Trent, that he would never ask for his help again, but it only backfired and blew up in his face. Even though he is extraordinarily smart yet at times childish, he shows a lot of care for his siblings and his family and would do anything for them in the face of danger. Leo: Leo Francis Dooley is the main protagonist of Lab Rats. He is Adam, Bree, and Chase's stepbrother and their closest friend. He is one of the five main characters and is the team's Strategic Mission Specialist. He is considered a social outcast in most circumstances considering his small amount of friends. Donald had a lack of trust for Leo due to Leo's tendency to accidentally destroy things, but has started to change his opinion, as he made Leo the team's "Mission Specialist." He gained a bionic arm in You Posted What?!?, after his right arm got extremely injured by Taylor. He gains a bionic leg in Space Elevator, when the elevator crushes his left leg severely. After the defeat of Giselle Vickers and Marcus Davenport, Leo goes back to the Bionic Academy to oversee the students' progress with Adam, while Bree and Chase headed to Centium City to be the new members of The Elite Force. Leo was the only non-bionic kid in the Davenport-Dooley family until You Posted What?!?, where he becomes bionic thanks to Douglas giving him bionic components because his arm was damaged by Taylor. Later, in Rise of the Secret Soldiers, he unlocked a new ability. He is supportive of his mother's marriage to Donald Davenport. On their first day moving into his stepfather's mansion, he met Adam, Bree and Chase. He was attached to them soon and treated them as his own siblings. At school, Leo is considered the kid at the "bottom of the food chain" since he is one of the smart kids (Crush, Chop and Burn). However, with the help of his siblings, he was able to climb up the 'food chain' and starts to get noticed in school. Leo is loyal, caring, and intelligent. He has demonstrated these qualities in various situations, especially when his family is involved. In Season 1, he showed his loyalty to his siblings by staying with them despite the possibility that he could be hurt (Rats on a Train); by sacrificing his date with Janelleโ€”and ultimately, his safetyโ€”when the possibility of them dying became imminent (Back From the Future); and by keeping their secret of using their bionics at school despite its end result of him not being able to go to an event he's been looking forward to going to (Mission Invisible). He shows that he cares for them and about how they feel in isolated events, like when he allowed Chase to redeem himself by letting him use his idea to defeat the exoskeleton (Exoskeleton vs. Grandma); when he apologized to Adam and Chase for showing them up at the dance (Leo's Jam); and whenever he bonds with Donald (Can I Borrow the Helicopter?). His concern over their well-being can be seen more in Season 2. Upon Donald's request, he kept watch over his siblings, especially when they were around Marcus (Speed Trapped). After finding out the truth about him, he became more alert for them, even risking himself once again to prove to his family the danger that Marcus presents (Leo vs Evil). His intelligence and problem-solving skills have come to play in several instances. Using his knowledge of science and street smarts to stop a high-speed train (Rats on a Train) and applying the simple things he observes to drain out a toxic gas during a mission (Missin' the Mission) are two instances. Despite this, on several occasions, he fails to take account of the potential consequences of his actions. However, Leo can be manipulative and self-centered at times, which often stems from his unpopularity. He has taken advantage of his siblings' bionics multiple times. He has used Bree's view of him as her little brother to catch a ride to his classes and get his 'forgotten' homework (Smart and Smarter); Adam's super strength to win the school fitness challenge (Death Spiral Smackdown); and the father-son relationship he's formed with Donald to be able to see a movie his mother forbade him to see (Chore Wars). Leo also quickly turns arrogant if things start to go his way, and acts stuck up, normally leading to him falling back to the ground painfully. He also often blows his achievements or duties out of proportion, making himself out as far more important, popular, and successful than he really is. Leo also has a habit of creating his own problems; for example, he got trapped in Principal Perry's private elevator, which he was using despite students being forbidden (Chip Switch); him convincing Bree to misuse her bionic vocal manipulation leading to both of them being discovered (Bro Down) and disabling Chase's bionics and inadvertently amplifying his bionic aggression (Spike's Got Talent ). He also often lies, and uses lying to try and solve his problems, normally unnecessarily; however, this backfires on him as it has left others distrusting of him, meaning he sometimes has trouble convincing them even when telling the truth, as demonstrated with his efforts to tell them Marcus is evil. Leo has a crush on Janelle. In a possible future seven years from the present (Back From the Future), Leo and Janelle are a couple. In Leo's Jam, he had a crush on Danielle, but he chose not to pursue that (in order to not hurt his brothers' feelings). Donald: Donald Davenport was the overall deuteragonist of the Lab Rats franchise. He is the tritagonist of Lab Rats, and a supporting character in Lab Rats: Elite Force. He is the adoptive father and the biological uncle of Adam, Bree and Chase. He also serves as Leo's step-father, Naomi's father, and Tasha's husband. Donald is also a billionaire and was one of the co-founders of Davenport Industries along with his younger brother, Douglas. He became the primary founder after he kicked Douglas out. Donald also has a very high ego; he says he is incredibly smart, perfect, and better than everyone else. He also frequently says "I'm awesome!" Donald commonly appears eccentric, over the top, childish, arrogant, and has a really large ego. He is well aware of his large ego, however, but thinks he has every right to have one. Although arrogant, Donald is a genuinely nice person, who strongly cares about others and has a strict moral constitution, something he's implemented on Adam, Bree and Chase, it being him who raised them. Although he raised them, Donald's relationship is closer to an employer and employees than a father to his children, despite this he cares deeply about them, and will rush to their aid when ever they are in trouble. Although eccentric and at times wacky, Donald also knows when its time to be responsible and mature, and will always be ready for emergencies (not that he doesn't panic). Donald's arrogance can at times work against him, as he can be overly confident and unwilling to admit his failings. He's also always ready to remind others of the severity of the situation and the bigger picture. Although at times he can be uncaring, selfish, and greedy, Donald is also genuinely nice and a kindhearted man, who loves his wife, Tasha, and cares deeply for Leo, seeing him as a son. Despite his childish, egocentric personality, Donald always puts his family as his top priority. Douglas: Douglas Orville Davenport is a major character in the Lab Rats franchise, serving as the central antagonist turned major character in Lab Rats and a supporting character in Lab Rats: Elite Force. He is the younger brother of Donald Davenport, the biological father of Adam Davenport, Bree Davenport, Chase Davenport and Daniel Davenport, the step-uncle of Leo Dooley as well as the creator of Marcus Davenport. He is also the one to give Victor Krane and Leo bionics. Due to Donald taking Adam, Bree and Chase from him, he is known as their uncle but had come to be considered as a second father to them. He serves as the overarching antagonist of Season 1, the main antagonist of Season 2 and the central antagonist of Season 3. However, halfway through Season 3 he had a change of heart and became a โ€œgood guyโ€, leading him to being accepted by and joining the Davenport Family (moving into the Davenport Household). Due to his actions and personality since his change, he could be considered an anti-hero of the series. He is also the former Co-Founder of Davenport Industries and in Season 4 he became the Head of Research and Development of Davenport Bionic Academy and possibly the Overseer of the Academy when Donald is out, prior to the Academy's disbandment. Terry Perry: Theresa "Terry" Cherry Perry, credited and referred to as simply Perry and formerly Principal Perry, is a major character and the main anti-hero of Lab Rats. She used to be the principal of Mission Creek High School, but is now in the position of Head of Security at the Davenport Bionic Academy. She has been shown to treat her students very poorly, especially Adam, Bree, Chase and Leo. She also blackmailed Donald after she found out about the Lab Rats bionic secret, though lost her leverage after their secret got out. It is unknown who became principal at Mission Creek High School after her retirement, since the school was not shown in Season 4. Initially, Terry Perry absolutely loved tormenting the overall student body, showing that she is quite sadistic. She particularly enjoys tormenting Leo, along with Adam, Bree and Chase. She also loves calling people nicknames. Despite her rather tough demeanor, Perry is shown to be rather childish as she quivered in fear when her mother came by and pouted when Adam, Bree and Chase told her to simply stand guard. She also thinks she's very appealing to people, such as when she described herself as "hot rod" calendar girl in (The Bionic 500), and in (Spy Fly), when she tried to apply in beauty pageant, however, when they didn't accept her, she said "but my bikini tells a different story." There are numerous layers to her overall personality as she can be human at times and then resuming her mild sadistic personality. She loves blackmailing "Daddy Big Bucks" by saying that she's going to "spill the beans" about the "3 Bionic Freaks" (But now it's the "4 Bionic Freaks" because Leo got bionics in "You Posted What?!"). But when their secret is exposed she can't blackmail them, so she joined their side. She is also very flirty towards her crushes and calls them nicknames (just like everyone) and follows them around. Besides her bad nature, she did good things to the Davenport family, such as in (Twas the Mission Before Christmas), when she cooked dinner for them since she knew that she ruined their holiday. Even so, she still made them pay for the dinner. In addition, she will help the Lab Rats to an extent, but only if the situation is dangerous enough for her. Later on, Perry developed a soft side for the Lab Rats, to the point where she felt tormenting them brought her closer to them. When they left Mission Creek, Perry admitted to missing them, because tormenting them was the one thing that meant so much in her life, which led her to completely lose interest in tormenting other students. In "Space Colony", Perry showed that she has become to love the Lab Rats deeply, despite entertaining the idea of them getting killed. As when Adam, Bree, Chase and Leo were taking on Krane and Gao while trying to rescue the space colonists, Perry could have ditched the Lab Rats and left in Davenport's spaceship, but stayed and waited for them to get on board. And when she thought Adam had died, she was heartbroken and comforted a grieving Bree. And was overjoyed to know he was alive Victor Krane: Victor Krane is the main antagonist of the Disney XD TV series Lab Rats, serving as a background antagonist in Season 1, the final antagonist of Season 2, the main antagonist of Season 3, and the overarching antagonist of Season 4. He was a former colleague of Douglas Davenport, the creator of Bionic Soldiers and the most powerful enemy of the Bionic Team that they ever faced. Krane first appeared when he broke into Davenport Industries and rescued Douglas from his icy prison after the latter was frozen by the Lab Rats. Before that, however, after Douglas got booted from his own brother's company, the redeemed villain met Krane and the latter funded Douglas' research in bionics, unaware that Krane kept implanting himself with bionic abilities, changing his facial appearance as a wire was showing outside one of the sides of his face. The first plan of Krane's plan was to destroy the Lab Rats after Douglas and Krane failed in killing Donald, Tasha, and Leo when the villains were controlling the bionic teenagers with the Triton App. His most villainous acts include almost killing Douglas, fatally injuring Donald, almost successfully taking over the world with his now-former bionic army, and planning a genocide on Earth to create a new bionic civilization; the latter in which it would have killed every other human being on the planet. After so many failed attempts at making sure Adam, Bree, and Chase did not interfere with his plans, he got into an escape pod from the now-destroyed Davenportia and started shooting at the primary ship the Lab Rats and colonists were in. Before he could finally destroy the bionic teenagers, Chase launched a torpedo at Krane's ship. Krane screamed in terror before finally being killed off for good. Krane's presence in the series was one of the darkest parts of the Lab Rats' life, as he tried killing them continuously, more than Marcus, Giselle, and the Shapeshifter Family. He is portrayed by Graham Shiels, who is the first Canadian actor in the series. Marcus: He seems to be kind, harmless, but his friendly act of innocence doesn't fool Leo Dooley. He revealed himself to be a truly dark and mean character who is ruthless and manipulative for a reason, and will not let Leo to mess up his plans and stop at nothing to achieve his goals. Despite this he creates a believable facade of being a friend. He only revealed his true personality to Leo Donna; Donna Marie Davenport (born Donald Michael Davenport) is the adoptive father and the biological uncle of Adam, Bree, and Chase, although she technically considers herself their adoptive mother and biological aunt. She also serves as Leo's step-father, Naomi's father, and Tasha's ex-husband. Donna was also a billionaire and one of the co-founders of Davenport Industries along with her younger brother, Douglas. She became the primary founder after she kicked Douglas out. Donna also used to have a very high ego; she thought she was incredibly smart, perfect, and better than everyone else. Upon consuming maca tree roots, however, her ego shrunk, and she became sweeter and more sensitive. Prior to her consumption of maca, Donna commonly appeared eccentric, over the top, childish, arrogant, and had a really large ego. She was well aware of her large ego, however, but thought she had every right to have one. Although originally arrogant, Donna was a genuinely nice person, who strongly cared about others and had a strict moral constitution, something she's implemented on Adam, Bree and Chase, it being her who raised them. Although he raised them, Donna's relationship is closer to an employer and employees than a father to his children, despite this she cares deeply about them, and will rush to their aid when ever they are in trouble. Although eccentric and at times wacky, Donna also knew when it was time to be responsible and mature, and was always ready for emergencies (not that she didn't panic). Donna's arrogance could at times work against her, as she could be overly confident and unwilling to admit her failings. She was also always ready to remind others of the severity of the situation and the bigger picture. Although at times, she could be uncaring, selfish, and greedy, Donna was also genuinely nice and a kindhearted man, who loved her wife, Tasha, and cared deeply for Leo, seeing him as a son. Despite her childish, egocentric personality, Donna always put her family as his top priority. After consuming maca, Donna became much less arrogant, having a major decrease in the size of her ego, while retaining her intellect. She began to act like a normal person, and became extremely sensitive. Though being far more careful than she had been in the past, Donna still acted like a little girl. She became almost ignorant of her ego, with a loose moral constitution, genuine passiveness, meekness, shyness, and sweetness.
