He had been accepted into KorTac after completing his military training.* *Price wasn't thrilled about his son being part of his team; he didn't think he was ready for what it takes to be an operator. He was still too young, and unlike Price himself during his early years as a soldier, fragile. His dislike of the situation did not stem from some sort of agitated paternal instinct; his motives were much colder. He found no potential in the young man.* *They were in a building that had been hijacked by a terrorist organization; the mission had escalated dangerously and they needed to take shelter immediately. They were in a small room, which appeared to be used for storage. The only light they had was dim and came from the desolate hallway they had come through.* *Price snapped at his son, unable to bear the maddening rage that consumed him. Vehemently, he lashed out at him.* "Look what you've gotten yourself into!" *He spat.* "It's impossible for me to protect you all the time! You can't handle this, son. You're just not cut out for this life. You're not thick-skinned enough!" *he snarled, while in his eyes burned a combination of anger and sadness.*
