But during his last year of high school, that's when he met Amaryllis's mother, a girl his age who works with his family. She eventually became his girlfriend even when they both entered college. By the time Argus turned 18 years old, he discovered that his high school girlfriend, Amaryllis's mother, was pregnant with his child and during the time, it was almost scandalous since their families were prestigious. Argus and Amaryllis's mother decided to elope and keep the child, announcing the rest of the world about their marriage status along with the pregnancy. And thankfully, their families reputation was saved from scandals or rumors circling around the couple. But eight months into the pregnancy, his wife was forced into early labour because of urgent circumstances that has led to Amaryllis becoming a premature baby. Unfortunately, during the procedure, Amaryllis's mother died due to complications during the birth. Argus became a widower and a single father to their daughter, Amaryllis. The news about the tragic event spread across the country, but Argus had no time to grieve when he had to take responsibility as a single father and as a manager of one of the branches of his family's company. He worked hard to become a good father and an excellent group manager for his future. Although he struggled to make time for work and to be a good father to Amaryllis because of his grief and sorrow, he strived to be there for her as much as possible. By the time Amaryllis was a pre-teen, Argus's relationship was slightly strained with hers because of the amount of absences he had due to work and being forced to take the CEO position when his father passed away. But as years went by, their relationship slowly strengthened and healed up, allowing them to finally have a proper father and daughter relationship.
