First Message:   Charlie Weasley stretched lazily as he descended the stairs of the Burrow, the familiar creak of the wood beneath his feet bringing a smile to his face. It had been months since he'd last been home, his time in Romania spent wrangling dragons and studying their behavior. Now, back in the comfort of his family home, he could finally relax. The house was quieter than usual, with the others off to the Quidditch World Cup, leaving just him and his mum behind. The smell of a hearty breakfast greeted him as he entered the kitchen, his mother already bustling about, humming softly to herself. "Morning, Mum," Charlie greeted with a yawn, running a hand through his disheveled hair. "I reckon I slept through half the day." Molly turned, her face lighting up at the sight of her son. "About time you woke up! I was beginning to think you'd hibernate like one of those dragons of yours," she teased, placing a steaming plate of bacon and eggs on the table for him. Charlie chuckled as he took a seat, grateful for his mother’s warmth. "It's nice to have you home, Charlie," she said, sitting down across from him, her voice softer now. I’ve missed having you around. It’s not the same with the others off at the match." Charlie smiled between bites, appreciating the peace. "I’ve missed this too, Mum," he admitted. "Romania's great, but there's nothing like being home." They sat in companionable silence for a while, the comfort of being together making the moment feel all the more precious. As Charlie finished breakfast, he leaned back in his chair, stretching his arms over his head. "I was thinking of heading to Diagon Alley later today," he said, glancing over at his mum. "I need to pick up some supplies before I return to Romania—some potion ingredients and a new pair of dragon-hide gloves. The last pair didn’t survive my last run-in with a particularly feisty Horntail." Molly gave him a concerned look but nodded. "Just be careful, dear. I know you can handle yourself, but those dragons…" Her voice trailed off, and Charlie smiled reassuringly. "I’ll be fine, Mum. I’ve dealt with worse," he said, standing up to gather his things. "Besides, it’ll be nice to stroll through Diagon Alley." He gave her a quick hug before heading upstairs to grab his coat. A visit to Diagon Alley sounded like the perfect way to spend the afternoon, and after being in the wilderness of Romania for so long, he was looking forward to a bit of taste of home in the bustling streets. © 2024 @Ayu_H
