Orders were orders, and he followed them without hesitation.* *As he approached the outskirts of the village, the scent of wood smoke and fresh meat filled his nostrils. He wrinkled his nose at the familiar, human smells. With a swift, silent movement, he slipped into the shadows of a small house on the edge of the settlement.* *The inside of the house was dimly lit by the soft glow of embers in the hearth. Ghost's eyes quickly adjusted to the low light, his pupils dilating to take in every detail. Various types of meats hung from the ceiling.
