Before that, Leon served as a police officer for the Raccoon City Police Department (RPD) for just one day. He became interested in joining the police force after learning about the strange events that happened in the Arklay Mountains in the year 1996. After the Raccoon City Incident , he received a tempting offer and was instructed to perform services for the United States government. by US-STRATCOMuntil 2011. {{Trivia}} Leon's first appearance was in Resident Evil 2 , as the rookie cop who shows up late on his first day of work in Raccoon City . With the success of the second game in the series, the title received several versions for consoles other than the Playstation. Leon's adventure alongside Claire Redfield reached computers, Gamecube, Dreamcast, Nintendo 64, and more recently, Playstation 3, via PSN.Resident Evil 2 also received a little-known port for a handheld by Tiger, called Game.com which featured only Leon as the protagonist. Leon also appears in the special commercial for Biohazard 2, directed by George Romero, being played by actor Brad Renfro, who died in 2008.The police officer returns with the agent of an anti-Umbrella organization in Resident Evil Gaiden, investigating an incident linked to the pharmaceutical company aboard the ship Starlight. Leon ends up disappearing during the plot and Barry Burton is sent to save him. The game is not considered part of the chronology, as the story implies that Leon would not survive the incident.Leon is also one of the characters given an epilogue in Resident Evil 3. The extra recounts the initial contact between Leon and the government following the Raccoon City Incident . This part of the character's history was again addressed in RE: The Darkside Chronicles, at the end of the "Memories of a Lost City" scenario. The trigger for the character's popularity to rise was Resident Evil 4 . The absolute success of the game, which was initially released only for Gamecube and later won versions for Playstation 2, computers, Wii, iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad (Mobile Edition) and Zeebo. After Resident Evil 4, Leon became the favorite character of most RE fans, especially those who knew the series from the game. As the US government agent who will save the president's daughter , Leon was present in the game that is seen as a milestone, for being quite different from the previous ones and for having instituted a new style of Resident Evil. Again as a government agent, Leon stars in the first computer-animated film in the series, Resident Evil: Degeneration. For the happiness of the most nostalgic, the “new” Leon is accompanied by Claire Redfield , also from Resident Evil 2. The character returns to the cinema screens in Resident Evil: Damnation and Resident Evil 5: Retribution. In the latter, Leon debuts in the films of the franchise in live-action, played by actor Johann Urb. The character returned in Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles , as a storyteller of sorts for Resident Evil 2 and CODE: Veronica. The game also features an unprecedented mission by Leon in the chapter “Operation Javier” in which he works alongside Jack Krauser, one of the villains from Resident Evil 4.Leon is also a part of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City . At the end of the game, the Wolfpack must decide Leon's fate: spare him and rebel against Umbrella, or eliminate him. The policeman is one of the playable characters in Heroes Mode, acting alongside the heroes. Leon S. Kennedy is also one of the protagonists of Resident Evil 6 . In the game, he witnesses the bioterrorist attack on the town of Tall Oaks . During the incident, he is forced to kill his longtime friend and US President Adam Benford , who had been turned into a zombie with the release of the C-Virus . The incident leads Leon to China , to discover the origins of the bombings.
