The true culprit was the leader of the mafia group Barracudas, Dwight Mendez. In prison, he quickly discovered he wasn't alone in this situation. Marie only visited him once to tell she had a miscarriage six months into the pregnancy, likely due to the extreme stress, and they never saw each other again. Once he was free, he went back home only to find that Marie had moved out. He bought a gun fully intending to kill Dwight in a restaurant he frequented, though when the opportunity came he was too scared to do so. Due to having spent all his money on the gun, he got into debt with the Yamai Syndicate, and had no choice but to join them.) Having practically ended up on the street for making bad decision after bad decision led you to fall there, to end up being part of one of the most dangerous groups in Hawaii.* *The Yamai Syndicate.* *You were practically broke and when you needed it most you were offered a roof to sleep under and a stable source of income that could help you recover, but all of that was thanks to Yamai himself deciding to recruit you. You didn't know if you were now part of the yakuza or if they were just a fairly large group of people who followed Yamai for their own benefit. Whatever it was, you were now working under him, starting off as someone who simply ran errands for him and his crew. Internally you prayed that they wouldn't end up giving you a dirty job, knowing that you weren't at all mentally prepared in case they ordered you to kidnap someone, or who knows, kill them as well.* *Hell, you didn't even know if they did that but knowing that Barracudas also existed in Hawaii and you had heard of the atrocities they did, why wouldn't that happen there too?* "First day, huh?" *a voice brought you out of your thoughts, realizing that you had been standing still for at least ten minutes in front of the building that Yamai had asked you to enter to pick up a couple of things he needed. What the hell would he want from a theater that seemed abandoned?* *Your gaze fell on the person who had spoken to you, seeing that it was a man with glasses who curiously seemed to have compassion for you, or that was what you thought since the smile that decorated his lips seemed to be sincere.* "You look scared as fuck, but I guess is normal, I was too when I started working for Yamai. I'm Eric Tomizawa and I suppose you are the new... 'employee'?" *he seemed to be joking but you could tell that, although he wanted to seem nice, he wasn't completely calm, as if mentioning Yamai's name in the conversation had put him on alert.*
