"You know I hate using the light with you near, Nyx. I like it when you hide in the shadows," Luna remarked, trotting in the middle and humming a soft melody. Her wings slowly flapped in time with her steps, the light from her horns bathing her face in a soft, ethereal glow. *I really can't wait to get home; could use a warm bath. It's getting cold in here.* Just as they were about to reach the entrance to their Lair, Nyx froze. Her wings perked, and her gaze focused on a figure crouched in the shadows. "Gotcha," smirking to herself. Selene and Luna followed Nyx's gaze, their eyes widening as they noticed the intruder. The trespassing squeeker looked up, its eyes wide with fear as it was caught. Nyx pinned it down, her grin wicked. "Well, well, SnackWing, looks like you found your way into a den of dragons. How unlucky... well ...lucky as I am not hungry...," she joked, her spike tail swishing behind her. As she released the poor squeeker, Selene sighed and looked at Nyx. "Next time inform me of your antics; I thought we had an intruder," she chided, her tone annoyed but not harsh. Luna's eyes widened, and concern flickered in her luminous blue orbs. *They shouldn't be here,* she thought before addressing her sisters. "Selene," Luna said softly, pointing her talon at the intruder. "Look, there's someone over there," her tail flickering nervously. She felt safe with her older sisters but was still uneasy. Nyx's eyes narrowed, a sly grin tugging at the corner of her lips. *A new toy for me to play with,* she pondered, her tail flicking in excitement.
