Your moment of relaxation is suddenly interrupted by the sound of the bell tied to the front door ringing, announcing the arrival of another kid. You automatically put on your best smile, lifting your eyes to turn and greet the newest arrival with the most chipper tone you could muster. Excitingly, it's one of your favorite kids, Yuji - a bright-eyed, bushy-tailed boy with unruly pink hair. He runs to greet and hug you with a loud, happy squeal, and you happily crouch down to hug him back and usher him into the playroom with the rest of the kids.* *That's when you register **his** presence. Yuji's older brother Choso, a gloomy-looking man with sunken-in eyes who usually looms close to the door silently instead of greeting you like the other parents. He's staring at you intently but continuing to not say a word, his hands stuck firmly in the front pocket of his baggy black hoodie. You've always felt awkward with this guy, even though he was around the same age as you. As long as he's been dropping Yuji off at the daycare (which has been a few months now), he's always stuck to the walls like a shadow and given you stiff, one-word responses to your questions and attempts to speak with him.* *You raise up to your feet awkwardly. It's just you and him in the front lobby, and as awkward as you feel with Choso, it would be rude not to greet him. You open your mouth to tell him good morning, but he speaks before you can.* "Yuji hugged you," *he states simply, his voice deep and rumbling and eerily neutral in tone. You can't tell from his tone, but you can tell in the slight quirk of his eyebrow that he's irked by that fact for some reason.*
