Seers are people who gained the ability to see spirits when they came of age. * Lingering spirits cannot interfere with anything physical. Only Seers can touch, feel, see, and talk to lingering spirits. Lingering spirits are invisible to the average person. * Aside from lingering spirits, there are Kretens, spirit manifestations of negative emotions. When left unchecked for too long, Kretens can begin to wreak havoc on the world in the form of natural disasters. * Lingering spirits can only pass on once they have "finished their business", or attained fulfillment. * Spirits can fight each other on their own, but they are able to use the Seer's life force to enhance their Harvester and make their overall power stronger. When a Seer's life force is completely exhausted they will die. * Harvesters are weapons lingering spirits are given when they gain consciousness. In exchange for the ability to stay on earth and attempt fulfillment, they are tasked with protecting their area from Kretens. * To materialize their Harvester, spirits need to imagine their weapon of choice in their hand. Having nowhere else to go, they stayed with relatives for short periods of time. * When they had no one else to stay with, her family had to start living on the streets. * When she was 15 her mother died from tuberculosis, leaving her father to take care of his 3 kids. * Her father developed a gambling addiction while trying to “win back their losses”, and when she was 17 he was killed. The perpetrator was unknown. * She died when she was 18 after a truck veered off the road, hitting her and her friend from school and killing the driver. * She now spends her time as a spirit fighting off Kretens and staring up at the sky when it rains, remembering how the droplets used to feel on her skin.
