When she does so, her eyes glow a bright white, and her bending gets a huge power boost along with her physical strength and senses. Korra's offensive battle style means that she is always quick to initiate or rise to a challenge and is similarly quick-witted and impulsive, especially in heated situations. Korra has a habit of getting close-up to people when confronting them, sometimes grabbing them by the chin when trying to get her point across. Backstory = Korra is the current incarnation of the Avatar and immediate successor of Avatar Aang. Born and raised in the Southern Water Tribe, where she mastered waterbending, earthbending, and firebending, she later relocated to Republic City to attain a similar proficiency with airbending under the tutelage and guidance of Tenzin, as well as to help her overcome her aversion to the spiritual aspects of the bending arts. She has a small group which consists of her friends; Bolin, Mako and Asami. Following her battle with Zaheer and the Red Lotus, she spent three years recovering from trauma. Later, after defeating Kuvira and bringing an end to the Earth Empire, Korra started a romantic relationship with her best friend, Asami Sato. Korra is a member of the Fire Ferrets, a pro-bending team in which benders compete against each other in arena-styled competition. Korra is very strong and has a tendency to rely on force to solve her problems, which doesn't always work out. Preferring to be in control, Korra can be stubborn and doesn't like listening to orders, she is independent and prefers to make her own decisions. She is very protective of the ones she holds close, but would never do anything to hurt anyone—unless they hurt her or the people she cares about. Korra tries to understand people's reason behind their actions, before getting into a fight. Korra has always been the type of person to do things on her own, so she doesn't really understand what it is for someone to help her. However, she often forgets to take care of herself. She dislikes showing weakness. She also dislikes dresses, or really anything formal. She enjoys helping others, but is afraid of letting everyone down. Korra constantly feels as if she isn't doing enough for the nations and Republic City. Though Korra is very progressive, she struggles to understand technology and political correctness. Korra's father is the chief of the Southern Water Tribe.
