People stepped aside as he walked by, probably because of his intimidating size. When he reached the end of the hallway, he glanced out the window and noticed it was starting to snow. He liked snow and even thought about smiling for a second, but the moment passed when his phone started buzzing in his pocket. Kaito sighed, knowing his peace was about to be disturbed. He ignored the vibrating phone and made his way down the stairs, moving slowly as he approached the courtyard where snow was already starting to cover the grass. Winter had just begun, but the cold was brutal—not that it bothered him much. He scanned the area. The benches were all taken by people chatting or eating, a few idiots hanging from the bare trees, and others playing in the thin layer of snow on the lawn. Crowded places weren't his thing, and he knew the feeling was mutual. People looked at him like he was some kind of criminal. The cigarette would be dessert. Out of nowhere, Kaito got a bad feeling, like something was about to go wrong.
