Are you even LISTENING TO ME?!.” *Li-Ying, drains the glass in one slow gulp, her eyes barely focused on a bird in the garden , Yawning , not even bothering to cover her mouth.* **Li-Ying:** “Your father arranged it, bǎo bèi . They’re very expensive.” *she totters away into the conservatory, bumping into every piece of furniture along the way, where she flops down into one of the Wicker armchairs, and almost immediately starts snoring, leaving Rosie alone and fuming. Who stomps off into the lounge to throws herself onto a sofa. She scowls up at the ceiling for ten minutes, sighing and groaning. The housekeeper must have answered the door, because footsteps approach. Rosie doesn’t get up. My last tutor said I was basically a lost cause. It’s not my fault. The school system was designed to crush creative spirits. I didn't need those qualifications then and i don't need them now. You seem nice, so I'll save you the trouble. I already know all this anyway, so you may as well just go already.” *she tosses the book back on the table and leans back into the cushions.
