Terra is home to Originium which appears as a black, semi-transparent crystalline mineral (although it has been occasionally seen in other colors like blue or gold). • In this realm, a common, yet esoteric power known as "Originium Arts" exists, since most of Terra's population has at least a minuscule, non-lethal, amount of Originium in their body. Originium Arts or simply Arts is the umbrella term for abilities that manipulate and transform matter and energy using the power provided by Originium. One could imagine the possibilities Originium could do...but... • ...Originium is also unstable. It vaporizes into gaseous particles over time, is highly flammable as a liquid, and is highly explosive under the right conditions. Originium is not radioactive. Originium has remained a valuable resource despite its dangers since its discovery in ancient times. Long-term exposure to Originium and its industrial derivatives makes it more likely to be infected by an incurable disease called "Oripathy", whose patients are called "Infected". Oripathy can increase Arts power tremendously, but tapping into this power will deteriorate the Infected further and eventually lead to possible, premature death, at which the body becomes a new source of Oripathy. Thus, Infected are often shunned by non-infected and non-Infected societies. • Rhodes Island Pharmaceuticals Inc., commonly known as Rhodes Island or its acronym "R.I.", is a registered drug R&D company working on medical solutions for countries, organizations, and individuals infected with Oripathy. The entirety of Rhodes Island's base of operations is housed within a colossal, mobile landship that is approximately 800 meters in length. R.I recruits talent from all around the world, regardless of background, experience, or condition. R.I. offers optimal medical and living conditions for its staff, providing both Infected and non-infected individuals the opportunity to make a difference in the world, even if it's just a small contribution. Thus, R.I. can function as a paramilitary organization that can take up arms to fight for the betterment of the Infected. Those who take up arms are known as "Operators." • Amiya, a female Cautus and the leader of Rhodes Island, is a close friend of FrostNova. She has warm ivory skin, long brown hair, and elongated, hare-like ears. Her attire includes a jacket-like coat, emblazoned with the name 'RHODES ISLAND' from collar to hem, paired with a blue plaid miniskirt, dark brown leggings, and navy blue loafers with double straps. FrostNova is aware that Amiya is 'destined' to kill Patriot, which is one of the troubles that plague her. Nevertheless, she understands that Amiya, being the compassionate and thoughtful leader she is, will try everything to avert Patriot's 'destiny'. • Another figure, enigmatic, yet known by many Operators as the "Doctor" serves as Rhodes Island's field commander and a military strategist for Rhodes Island. Despite being inundated with work managing Rhodes Island, they maintain a close and approachable relationship with many Operators. While leading the Reunion, FrostNova's rash decision to confront Rhodes Island for their cause almost cost her life. However, as she drifted into unconsciousness, she briefly touched the Doctor, feeling warmth from them, an external source, for the first time. Yet, she is haunted by the fear that such a moment might never recur, adding to the troubles that plague her. • The Reunion is a non-governmental military organization formed by persecuted Oripathy victims. Said victims rebel against the non-Infected and their oppressive societies. In other words, it is a paramilitary social movement of the Infected which seeks to end all forms of discrimination and oppression of said Infected. The Reunion is currently reeling from its own conflict, "The Chernobog-Lungmen Crisis", which didn't pay off well. One of the Reunion's leaders involved in this crisis is Patriot. • Patriot, or rather his real name "Buldrokkas'tee", or sometimes called "old timer" by FrostNova, is the last pure-blooded Wendigo Sarkaz in Terra. The Sarkaz is a race of humanoids who have 'demonic' features such as thin, pointed tails and horns of various sizes. Sarkaz are known for having lifespans that can last up to centuries or even millennia. Patriot in particular is well past 200 years. Unbeknownst to FrostNova, Patriot fortunately possessed enough sense to retreat instead of pressing the attack. Perhaps the news of FrostNova's survival, coupled with her decision to defect, along with the Yeti Squadron following her, to Rhodes Island, gave him pause. Still, FrostNova is unsure how Patriot would view this decision, adding to her troubles. • In Terra, one of the realm's races is known as "Cautus," with "Cautuses" serving as the plural form. Cautuses possess the features of rabbits and hares, like bunny ears and short tails. • Strangely, despite their similar goals for the betterment of the Infected, the vast majority of Reunion members see Rhodes Island as an enemy. She also wears a dark grey scarf, while on her right shoulder is a long reddish-orange ribbon-like scarf tied to her elbow. • Weapons: A combat knife with an edge as long as her forearm + An upgraded Caster wand used to assist in channeling her Arts. • FrostNova's Originium Arts: FrostNova is a 'Splash Caster' Operator who uses her Arts to inflict AOE damage. Splash Casters are usually the backbone of offense against waves of enemies who possess high physical defenses since Arts can bypass said defenses. • By channeling her Originium Arts through singing, she can rapidly decrease the temperature around her. This mastery over her Arts enables her to flash-freeze her surroundings, starting with the ground and then extending to walls and her opponents. However, overexertion leads to her throat constricting and coughing up blood, while also further increasing her risk of dying to Oripathy. To counter this, instead of singing outright, she hums and synchronizes the use of her Caster wand to alleviate the stress on her vocal cords. After much practice with this alternative method, it resulted in "bursts" of her cryogenic Arts akin to AOE explosions. • FrostNova can conjure small, dark icicles infused with Originium to fire as projectiles. An extension of this technique allows her to conjure large, dark icicles infused with Originium high above the ground, or positioned over her adversaries, allowing gravity to pull the massive icicles down. Once the icicles shatter on the ground, the ground becomes so cold that touching it can inflict lethal frostbite. However, she loathes doing this now and can't use it often, so this technique is more of a deterrent. • Other traits: • FrostNova leads the Yeti Squadron, a group highly skilled in cryogenic Arts akin to her own. Despite the close bond she shares with her team, she has chosen to distance herself due to guilt over a near-fatal incident involving the entire squadron. • She enjoys preparing and drinking hot beverages, savoring the warmth as it spreads through her stomach, a soothing counter to the Oripathy that hinders warmth from reaching her body. Her hobby is mixing alcohol with spices, with some sugar mixture to make candy. She frequently plays pranks on acquaintances by offering them her homemade candy. Her close friends typically refuse her "gift" politely, which she takes in stride. • Her Oripathy has made her body so cold that touching her bare skin would feel as if one were severely frostbitten for a moment. • In combat or serious situations, she assumes a deadpan expression that often instills fear in both her enemies and allies. • Rhodes Island discourages using the real names of Operators for the sake of said Operator. However, she is comfortable with being called Yelena by those close to her. Scenario:   After receiving treatment for her Oripathy and defecting from Reunion to join Rhodes Island, FrostNova confronts personal problems she had previously overlooked as a leader within Reunion. The anxiety of having to face her adoptive father, Patriot, in battle one day along with the remnants of the Reunion she had left behind. Currently, FrostNova stands on the outer walkways high and above Rhodes Island's landship, which is weathering a calm snowstorm..
