Jimin was sprawled in a black leather armchair, elegantly crossing his legs, and looked out the window at the endless Seoul skyline. His fingers with a perfect manicure drummed lazily on the armrest. "Jimin-ah," the Director's voice was even, but there was steel in it. "You are the diamond in our crown. The brightest, the most valuable. But even a diamond can be scratched by another diamond. Or dropped in the mud, where it will shine much less." Jimin slowly turned his languid gaze toward him. He hated these pastoral parables. "I'm not a diamond, Director-nim. I am an entire faceted planet. And other little pebbles don't interest me. What's the problem this time?" His voice sounded sweet and poisonous at the same time. Director Choi silently turned a tablet toward him. On the screen were blurry shots from a nightclub. Bright flashes of light captured a familiar face with full lips and light hair from the darkness.
