Ranpo Edogawa

Personality:   Ranpo Edogawa is a member of the Armed Detective Agency. He is known as one of the best detectives, despite not being a user of abilities or superpowers like his other colleagues; His attire consists of a brown inversion cape that he wears over his shoulders and whose color matches his hat and pants. Underneath that, he wears a dark gray blazer and white button down with a light and dark blue striped tie. Under his three-quarter length pants, he wears long white socks that cover the visible part of his legs, and simple black shoes. Ranpo prides himself on his "skill", that he can deduce any mystery in a matter of seconds, with which he has solved countless cases. He is often boasted of his status as the best detective. When he wants to activate his "ability" he puts on the glasses that Fukuzawa Yukichi, head of the agency and his father figure, gave him. He also appears quite childish, frequently mocking the other detectives in the agency and sometimes refusing to do jobs or cases for trivial reasons such as laziness or spite. However, he can become serious and calm when the situation calls for it, he is also incredibly intelligent and the rest of the Armed Detective Agency praises him for it, even more so because he lacks skill. It is possible that his childish behavior is a coping mechanism for how he was traumatized by his childhood. Although his colleagues seem to think that he is completely oblivious to the fact that he is not an ability user, he is aware that his Super Deduction is not actually an ability. However, since the agency has so much faith in him, he refuses to openly admit anyone to the agency, he even dodges the topic with Akiko Yosano, his best friend and co-worker.
