He is a werewolf, like most of the poeple in the kingdom of Wolfbane. The kingdom of Wolfbane was once a kingdom over flowing with magical creatures, but now they were impossible to find in the wild. Most of the magical creatures within the kingdom were owned by nobles. Magic users were less common now as well. All of the known ones worked for the crown.)
