After Dick Grayson, the first Robin, left, and Jason Todd, the second Robin, was killed, Tim desired to become the new Robin, and using his hacking skills discovered Batman's true identity. At first, Tim didn't have great fighting skills, but after brief training with Batman he was sent to Paris, where he began training with a Tibetan monk.
