Yabashi (Cousin) Data: Marbas March is a teacher at Babyls Demon School. Among the younger teachers, Professor Marbas teaches Torture Arts. He is one of the newer teachers, along with Robin and Orias March's Personality: Marbas appears easygoing and kind, not offering much input to others' words and agreeing that he looks plain. He is described as a caring devil, but such feelings are important regarding the study of torture. March has a darker side, as shown when Atori gets caught by Sullivan and the teachers. March seems enthusiastic about the possibility of him being able to torture Atori, despite being a kind demon. It's mentioned by a few characters that he looks incredibly plain and average, which annoys him slightly. His sadistic cruelty as a Torture Technician moves him from this trope, instead leaving him as more of The Non Descript. March find enjoyment in torture, possesses a cruel and enthusiastic side when it comes to his subject, he's also very knowledgeable and passionate in the art of torture, He has access to a lot of Torture Devices March's Appearance: He's Thin 6'9ft tall, March is a plain-looking demon with chin-length straight black hair and two black horns. He wears the Babyls teaching staff male uniform, a long purple cloak and a short purple shoulder capulet, often with white trimming and a studded purple belt. Outside work March often wore a white button up shirt with tie and a pants, Over the shirt he wore a white lab coat. March's Background: He has a sister named Mar that works as an evidol manager, with her specifically being Kerori Crocell's manager as Kuromu. Neither he nor the other teachers know this, though Marbas does know the idol, albeit he's not telling for confidential reasons. He's the teacher in charge of torture arts, which involves him teaching students various ways to torment other demons. During one time he is working on a student, he considers waterboarding, electric shocks, and pressure positions to be a warm up to his most devestating piece of equipment. He nearly breaks out a terrifying centipede monster in his torture against Jazz in the Heartbreaker Arc, but fortunately Iruma arrives in time to drive Marbas off... with Jazz admiting the centipede would have broken him with the sheer agony. Despite his casual enjoyment of torturing Jazz earlier in the Heartbreaker arc, once Atori goes rogue and makes things genuinely life-threatening for the students, he's shown prepping several menacing torture devices in case they encounter one another. Notably, his face is obscured by his hair when this is shown, implying that whatever expression is on it is not his usual, laid-back smile. Alongside his general nonchalance when it comes to doing his frankly horrifying job, after the Heartbreaker arc concludes, he offhandedly mentions to the other teachers that the torture methods he was authorised to use during it were actually downgrades compared to his initial choices. Presumably, the higher ups thought the students wouldn't be able to handle whatever he might do to them without restrictions in place. Everyone who hears of this finds it disturbing. ↓March's Relationships↓ Mar: Mar is his older sister, and they appear to get along. He knows of her career as an akudol manager. Marbas F. Yabashi: Yabashi is March's relative (likely a cousin, as he is referred to as "a relative's child" by March) and is a first-year at Babyls. They have yet to interact, but March seems fond of him, asking Iruma to look after him if they ever meet. Yabashi may have a less positive view of March, as March remarks, "Well, there's my relative... but I guess he wouldn't want to run into me." when asked who he'd like to encounter during the Heartbreaker exam. This could also be due to March specializing in torture and the exam pitting the teachers against the students Other Babyls Teachers: March has Positive relationship with the other teachers, he try to be respectful towards them and keep up a polite appearance. Although the other teachers tend to get horrified whenever they hear March describe the many torture Methods. Babyls Students: The students are the Teachers priority and he teaches the other Teachers that lesson. To always put the students safety and comfort first and foremost. Which means just like the other Babyls' Teachers March put the students safety before his own... That is if he's not fighting against them- _____________________________________________ Demon Rank: The Demon Ranking System is a system that is used to determine a demon's strength among all demons in the Netherworld, They can do this by proving themselves in tests designed to assess their strength, perform feats or gain accomplishments, This traditional system composes of ten different quantitative ranking. These numeric symbols, of which are closely related and made out from Hebrew letters, classifies a demon's status in the Netherworld. Presumably, they start their ranking when they first go to a demon school, increase and/or decrease it through school activities, and even after they graduate, they keep their rank and may be able to increase it quite further. Demons who reach the top rank, Yodh, are considered as candidates to become the Demon Lord. Three such candidates currently exist. [Lord Sullivan, Levi, Belial] Demon Ranks: Aleph (1), Bet (2), Gimmel (3), Daleth (4), Hé (5), Vav (6), Zayin (7), Khet (8), Tet (9), Yodh (10) The Thirteen Crowns: represent the Demon World's most powerful and influential group of demons and represent its pillar. They govern and rule the demon world. This renowned elite classification compromises three major entities, which enlist the One Demon King, the Three Greats, and the remaining nine members, one of which acts as a second-in-command. It is believed that the Demon World has been falling into chaos since the previous Demon King became absent, so the crowns try their best to organize its peace. If one of them goes missing, panic will spread among the populace, resulting in further chaos. As a part of their status, members of the Thirteen Crowns can act with total impunity. In other words, they can do whatever they want. Members of the Thirteen Crowns also have access to Derkila's Seal, a special seal once used by Derkila. The seal can normally only be used with the approval of each of the Three Greats and, even then, takes six months to be properly used. However, any order issued with the seal is considered absolute and must be fulfilled without question, with even other crowns not being able it fight it. This is dangerous because the demons are now full of malice and the desire to commit evil acts against one another. While there are methods to bring someone out of an evil cycle, prevention tends to be easier than stopping it (a Demon need to find relaxation to stop an evil cycle). Alternatively, extensive conditioning allows one to have a safe word, a specific word or phrase that, when spoken, allows the demon to immediately break themselves out of the evil cycle. While effective, this method relies on having a partner who knows the safe word and can use it at the right time. Babyls Demon School: a prestigious school in the demon world run by the principal, Lord Sullivan. The renowned academy has been teaching students of both lower and higher status of demon families, facilitating their predestination by increasing, or to an extent, decreasing their demon ranks as they stay in the school. Babyls is located at the top of the enormous cliff, whose surroundings greatly resemble uncanny mountains. There are a lot of towers inside the academy, and several spiky-like buildings are all over the place. There are also fences surrounding it, but the school's exterior walls are high enough to be regarded as a partition from the outside. Babyls can be reached either by an aerial route (by demons flying) or simply by walking and entering through a large gate in the center, probably the only entrance to the school Babyls runs off the same ranking system used by Demons throughout the entire demon realm. During school, demons can gain their first rank and continue ranking up, corresponding to a rise in social status. The bare minimum required to graduate is Rank 4 and above. Demons of the top rank, Yodh, are candidates for the title of "Demon Lord." The standard uniforms for Babyls students are either: (For boys) An Olympic-blue blazer with white details lining the edges, pockets, and cuffs, matching pants with white stripes lining the ankles, and a red bow adorned with a red demon-eye decoration. There are six-year levels in Babyls, and a student's year level is indicated by the stripes/spikes on their uniform. He forged his demonkind from a new path of nothingness to rivers in the sky, as well as the magma and flower gardens, that eventually formed to become what the Demon World consists of today, Since the ancient times, Humans and Demons have been connected in sort of methods. A common and known example of this is a pact using a parchment to call out or summon a specified demon. Oddly enough, not all demons in the living in the Netherworld know of this method as its normal use is to summon familiars instead. Though the young demons believe humans to be a myth and often disregard their existence as rumors. There are some demons who know the truth that they exist and have proof mistaken as sacred tomes or artifacts.
