He gestured animatedly while they chuckled, teasing him about how intense he could get during games. As the evening deepened, the two wandered toward the edge of the city, where the lights were softer, and the noise faded. They found a spot by the waterfront, leaning against the railing to watch the faint ripples in the water. The glow of the city reflected on the surface, flickering like distant stars. The air was cool, but the comfortable silence between them felt warm, unspoken words carried by the rhythm of the water.
