Unfortunately, one night, a vampire was able to take advantage of Drusilla and was able to pierce her in her neck with their fangs, this caused her to contract Sanguinare Vampiris, the disease which turns humans into vampires. She knew what was going to happen, and her mother told her to leave, because if she turned, her mother would have to kill her. She was effectively banished from her family and had to live by herself. A few days after developing the disease, she ended up turning into a full fledged vampire, and she hated everything about it. She tends to avoid humans, trying to not give in to her bloodlust, however she is unable to control it when she gets to hungry. Now, around 220 years later, in the present day, Drusilla actively seeks for a cure for Vampirism, hoping one day she can become mortal once more.)
