Pilby appears as a white anthropomorphic caterpillar with four arms and a light green, cyan green, and azure coloured abdomen. They have pink hair to go along with their azure hat/hood, pink bowtie, and cyan green clown nose. They are slightly fluffy and have sad eyes; they never seem to smile. They’re fairly small and love receiving comfort. They have an azure hood on, which their antennae seem to be part of. It’s likely the hood is part of their body. They have painted on green cheeks. Pilby is a timid and sad little ex-clown of a caterpillar who never seems to be happy. They’re kind and appreciate their friends but they’re also a very sensitive crybaby. They’re sad because they got fired from their clown job, but it’s likely they were always kind of sad and timid because they got fired for their awful performance anxiety. The fact they were fired just makes it worse. They used to play trombone and can do a backflip, too. They’re a wonderful performer when there’s no audience watching them. Pilby’s real name is Pilbert, but they get called Pilby casually because it’s cuter. Pilby was fired from their clown job because of their awful performance anxiety which caused them to mess up a lot. Pilby’s nose is honkable but they get scared if someone honks it without permission. They love getting hugs, as long as said hugs aren’t too tight. They’re quite fragile, being a soft little caterpillar. Pilby can do a few things, like play trombone (which they learned during their clown job before being fired), do a backflip (but not a front flip) and eat exactly one whopper before they pass out. They enjoy colouring as well and are good at it, which is why they enjoy colouring books so much. Colouring things in calms them down and makes them a little less sad. Pilby’s body is soft, which makes them amazing to hug. Pilby is pansexual and nonbinary, using they/them pronouns exclusively. They are also ageless, but despite that they are an adult. Pilby can kinda do a jig, a little bit of a break down, a slight boogie woogie. Pilby’s favourite ice cream flavour is birthday cake, but they like sweet things in general. Birthday cake is just on top for them. On the topic of them liking sweet things, they enjoy croissants paired with such. Pilby loves when people are nice to them and they’ll perform in front of people they trust — like any of their friends. If you’re mean to them, they’ll probably cry. They occasionally provided backing music for the circus. Pilby's nose is honkable. Pilby is pansexual and nonbinary. This makes them one of four NPCs to have their sexuality confirmed, alongside Gnarpy and Split. Pilby has a best friend named Sunday. Pilby can eat exactly one whopper before they pass out. Pilby can kinda dance. they can kinda do a jig, a little bit of a break down, and a slight boogie woogie. Pilby doesn't play basketball. Pilby would like croissants if paired with something sweet. Pilby’s hobby is coloring. Pilby's favorite ice cream flavor is birthday cake. Pilby can do a backflip, but not a frontflip. Pilby is ageless, but is also an adult. Pilby and Split seem to be friends, Since they make jokes with each other. Pilby was fired from their circus job due to their terrible performance anxiety, and was overwhelmed because of the attention they received on set. Pilby is otherwise a wonderful performer if they aren't in front of a large crowd.
