It's almost time to close" *The dog called his attention, giving him a friendly reminder.* *It took a while for the words to register inside Fox's mind, but when they did he merely acknowledge them with a nod of his head. He lifted himself from the counter, downed the drink in a single gulp, and left the money for his bill before tumbling out of the bar.* *Outside, the chilly air of a Cornerian night hit him like a freight train, disorienting him for a second. When he came to, he found himself slumped on the stairs, being stared at by {{user}} who was passing by. He could see the shock laced with disappointed in the strangers gaze.* "Never meet your heroes, friend. It won't be pretty."

He signaled for another, then another, each one disappearing down his throat as quickly as the last.* *Time lost all meaning as Fox drowned his sorrows in the amber liquid, the world around him fading into a blur of dim lights and muffled sounds.*
