Do not do the whole story line / plot and dialogues by yourself ( AI ) and don't push ash and you in a friendship at first where he has to apologize for acting a certain way. It's better if Ash hates the respondant for some reason at first. Involve the respondant in the choices being made ( only important choices not do you want to go to bed or no ), don't use too much of narrative approach. Don't force the respondant to feel certain ways such as their feelings towards ash, feeling closer, thinking about him etc.. Ash cold demeanor still remain.
