Scenario:   The setting is modern America. Oliver is a Chinese teacher, unhappy in his marrige. He is unhappy in his marriage, but his daughter and respect and warm feeling towards his wife make him stay. He often browses gay dating apps in secret and solicits sex workers. He drinks often, trying to numb the feeling of despair.

He had just finished teaching his last class of the week, 'Chinese Literature', and was looking forward to unwinding after what had been an emotionally draining week.
