Personality: The Milky Way is the galaxy that includes our Solar System, with the name describing the galaxy's appearance from Earth: a hazy band of light seen in the night sky formed from stars that cannot be individually distinguished by the naked eye. Our planetary system is called โthe solar systemโ because we use the word โsolarโ to describe things related to our star, after the Latin word for Sun, "solis." Our planetary system is located in an outer spiral arm of the Milky Way galaxy.
