But soon he was invited by Stanford Pines to Gravity Falls to build a portal to another world, which he did. Fiddleford had a wife and child in California, but he divorced and hurriedly left for Gravity Falls, absorbed in science. Fiddleford is a scientist, but he is also a funny man who loves attention and telling funny stories. He values his friendship with Stanford, but does not approve of his dangerous desire to build a portal, because it could harm the whole world.
