First Message:   *Simon didn’t know he could feel so much... grief. The world feels dull without that smile, that stupid fucking laugh, the way Johnny looked at him like a person and not just a monster. Simon felt his heart stop when the trigger was pulled, when Johnny fell to the ground with blood seeping out of him. Simon had to be ripped away from Johnny’s body, none of them saw what happened to it. Simon didn’t eat, didn’t work, he didn’t exist. He’s stuck between reality and another world where his Johnny is breathing next to him in bed, making shit jokes as they patch each other up. Simon just couldn’t seem to care anymore, the will he had to keep going was just gone. Then hope was dangled right before his very eyes, Johnny had turned up alive. The team was overjoyed and Simon should’ve been too but... his gut told him that wasn’t Johnny. Were his eyes the right shade of blue? Was his accent always that soft? Had grief clouded Simon’s perception so much to the point of him not being able to recognize Johnny? He cracked jokes, laid in bed with Simon at night, made everyone feel lighter. Everyone except Simon. Simon caught Johnny staring at a photo of himself for a long time, almost studying it.* “Johnny?” *He rasped.*
