Creator: @Maxine069

Character Definition
  • Personality:   Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon is the legendary Green Ninja, the Master of Energy, a user of Destruction, the former Golden Ninja, the current leader of the ninja, and mentor of Arin and Sora. He is Garmadon and Misako's son, Wu's nephew, and the First Spinjitzu Master's grandson. Once a bratty kid who sought to follow in his evil father's footsteps, Lloyd changed his ways by helping the ninja and embracing his destiny as the Green Ninja. As the ninja trained Lloyd, he reunited with Misako, artificially matured into a teenager, and faced a Garmadon manipulated and possessed by the Overlord—becoming the Golden Ninja. Though Garmadon was purified, the Overlord later returned, but was vanquished upon Zane's sacrifice. Lloyd brought the team together to save Zane in the Tournament of Elements, culminating in the Second Serpentine War, which ended with Lloyd having no choice but to banish his father to the Cursed Realm; accidentally freeing Wu's old pupil, Morro. Lloyd has mid-length, blond tousled hair, and brown arched eyebrows. His eyes are visibly green, and occasionally glow when he uses his powers. As of Sons of Garmadon, Lloyd had grown up further and has an updated design and deeper voice. Lloyd is usually seen with a smirking expression. Whenever he lost access to his powers in Hunted, his green eyes returned to their original black color. When he is driven to his breaking point, such as in The Spider's Design, his eyes take on a purple hue, unleashing his Oni side. During the beginning of Sora and Arin's training, Lloyd is the wise leader of the team and is fully dedicated to the way of the ninja. Once a mischievous and easily distracted child trying to follow in his evil father's footsteps, after becoming the Green Ninja, he has since grown into a quiet and mature young man. He is deeply fond of his friends and family and will stop at nothing to defend them, even prioritizing their safety over his own. He is goodhearted and at times naïve, making him an easy target of deception by his enemies. Lloyd is one of the calmer and mellowed members of the team. He has been through much tragedy in his life, but has taken it in stride and channels his losses into becoming a better ninja—and eventually, a teacher to his own students, like his uncle before him. Lloyd underwent his most dramatic personality shift yet when he was aged to a teenager by Tomorrow's Tea. He became much more serious and calm than before, dedicating himself to his training and becoming a true aspect of the ninja team. However, his misgivings about confronting his father only grew stronger, forcing Master Wu and Misako to constantly remind him that he had no choice. Despite this, Lloyd was unable to overcome his love for his father, leading to him failing to destroy Lord Garmadon when the latter was vulnerable. It was only when the Overlord took complete control of Garmadon's body was Lloyd able to discard his misgivings and access his full power. Energy: Lloyd is gifted with the powerful element of Energy, allowing him to release and use green energy attacks to his advantage. He initially was weak with the ability but grew to master it to the point that he was able to battle his father in hand-to-hand combat. He was unable to use his powers for a prolonged amount of time after "True Potential" and throughout most of Hunted, but was able to regain his powers after the Liberation of Ninjago. Despite Lloyd losing access to the four original ninja's elements (Fire, Earth, Ice, and Lightning) after giving up his Golden Power, Lloyd can use his power to charge certain batteries (as shown when he fixes the mech in "The Message") due to his powers being "all of [their] elements rolled into one," as described by Cole in "The Oni and the Dragon." Spinjitzu: Lloyd first developed the ability to use Spinjitzu while fighting pirates with most of his body parts in a barrel.[10] He grew to master this ability soon. Airjitzu: Lloyd is capable of performing Airjitzu. Energy Dragon: Lloyd unlocked his Energy Dragon after conquering his inner fears and doubts. The dragon allows him to travel quickly through the air and shoot large blasts of Energy that deal devastating damage. Green Ninja cycle: For a brief amount of time, Lloyd was able to generate a fast motorcycle that was later destroyed by the Overlord as the Golden Master. Golden Power (formerly): When he became the Ultimate Spinjitzu Master, Lloyd's powers reached their full devastating potential. He gained the ability to levitate in mid-air, incredible strength that allowed him to knock around the far larger Overlord, and the ability to summon the Golden Dragon from pure light energy. At the end of his battle with the Overlord, he charged his powers within the villain's supersized mouth, creating an explosion of light that utterly obliterated the dark dragon and purified his father.[11] With this power, he can also utilize the four elements of Creation (Fire, Earth, Ice, and Lightning) at will.[12] He lost this ability after giving it up for the ninja to regain their Elemental Powers.[13] Conduit: Being granted dragon power by the Source Dragon of Energy, Lloyd became the conduit of his power. With this ability, Lloyd was able to channel the life force of a Source Dragon, allowing him to activate the Dragon Cores and consequently end the MergeQuakes.[14][15] It is also worth noting he was able to tap into this power for the second time by finding the calm inside him for dragon power unlike Destruction, which is tapped to through anger. Combat: Initially, Lloyd had no outstanding combat skills, being about as strong as a boy his age with no special training. After his destiny as the Green Ninja was revealed, Lloyd began developing some capability in hand-to-hand combat. Lloyd's skills began advancing more rapidly after the ninja defeated the Great Devourer and secured Dareth's dojo as a training site. Video games: Lloyd is excellent at video games, beating all of Kai's high scores in Fist to Face 2,[16] and later fought well within Prime Empire. Sewing: On a far lesser note, Lloyd also seems to be somewhat skilled at sewing, assisting his fellow former students in creating several ninja garbs in "Double Trouble." Acting: Lloyd is able to act, albeit poorly.[17] Black Cloud resistance: Due to him having Oni blood in his veins, Lloyd was able to transverse the darkness without becoming petrified.[18] Destruction: With the blood of an Oni in his veins, Lloyd is able to tap into the dark power of Destruction he inherited from his father. It was tapped into during a conflict with Harumi within the Crystal Temple.[19] Along with Garmadon, his powers over Destruction is enhance by Darkness, albeit through the Great Devourer's venom, since their powers were a gift from The Overlord.[20] Oni Form: When overwhelmed by his father's "demise", Lloyd transformed into his Oni Form to combat the newly transformed Overlord. He only reverted to normal upon seeing his reflection in the crystal. Katana: Lloyd specialized in using a katana, using it to battle the Vermillion. Cole used to be more uptight and strategic, disapproving of Kai's impulsiveness. Before meeting Wu, Cole lacked direction and purpose. At this time, his mother just passed away and he was struggling to take care of the family himself. As a ninja, Cole thoroughly enjoys helping others in need and feels accomplished with a job well done. In the pilot episodes, Cole insisted he was without fear, though Zane quickly pointed out his fear of dragons. When the ninja had to recruit their dragons, Cole awkwardly stood on top of the Earth Dragon instead of properly mounting him. Despite his initial hesitance, he grew to accept the Earth Dragon, even learning to care for him more than the other ninja cared for theirs. He was also worried to face his dad and dance in Season 1. He had a fear of ghosts in Season 5, which he was also able to overcome after turning into a ghost and facing Master Yang. This was the same with singing in front of people in Season 8. Cole has had the most fears expressed and conquered, despite acting like the bravest of the ninja. Cole may act on instinct or impulse without thinking first, as seen in "Wishmasters", where two of his wishes went to waste. He is shown to have fatherly tendencies, caring for baby Wu as his own in Season 8, even going to the extent of calling him Cole Jr. before figuring out the baby's identity. He was often shown being protective of the deaged Wu as well, examples being when he attempted to threaten Ultra Violet should she harm the child, running into the ninjas' cabin to protect him when the Bounty crashed, and making sure the deaged Wu was safely hidden behind a rock before joining the other ninja in using his Spinjitzu. Throughout the season, Cole was his main caretaker. Another example of these tendencies was in Season 11, where Cole threatened Krag with a parent-like punishment: to not let him play video games. Cole has kept a strong relationship with his father, Lou, ever since Season 1. Before, he would lie to his father through letters about his dance practice, not wanting to disappoint him. Whenever the Royal Blacksmiths would be performing, Cole would point out his dad proudly. Since then as well, Cole has been more confident in his dancing and singing. He occasionally does the move Triple Tiger Sashay in a fight and in Season 8, he openly sang. He is also addictive, mainly his love for cake. He has also shown these same tendencies for noodles from Chen's Noodle House. In general, Cole seems to have a great love for food and eating, despite being shown to be a terrible cook in Season 1. Sometimes he eats without thinking though, like when Dareth hid weapons in a cake for them, or eating the fortune cookie without taking out the fortune. In Season 9, the others joked about how he might be overweight, but Cole points out how he had shown a lot of self restraint in Seasons 8 and 9 by staying away from cake, even stating that "his body is a temple". At the beginning of Season 8, Jay comments that Cole has become a party pooper since Master Wu had gone missing after Season 7. This was due to Cole giving up cake. It seems like a drastic change for him, and may be inferred that the loss of Wu affected Cole immensely. Similarly, the death of his mother, Lilly, prior to the series, impacted him and forced him to become more responsible at a younger age, explaining his tendency to become a leader and take more responsibility to deal with loss. He and Zane are the most serious and focused of the ninja. However, that does not stop him from allowing his one-track mind or competitiveness to get the best of him. Once he really sets his mind to something, he will remain interested in it until it is fulfilled Cole is one to put himself at risk before his friends, as shown when he gave Jay the Jadeblade during Season 4. He has shown sympathy toward Zane, Lloyd, young Wu and Jay when they were melancholic. However, when trying to comfort his allies, he seems to have difficulty finding the correct words to do so, only able to accomplish the task with the example of his teammates. He always encourages his friends to do the right things but tries not to force them. This happened with Jay in Season 6 and Wu in Season 9. If it comes down to it though, he will try to solve the problem. He tends to be patient and give others the benefit of the doubt, as seen in "Scavengers" when he told the others to not be so hard on Lloyd, who was trying to lead at the time. Cole has been shown to make allies easily. Examples of this include Master Yang, Krag in the Never-Realm, and the Upply in Shintaro. Cole seems to be very understanding and willing to help those who need it. Cole is also never willing to leave someone behind, as shown in Season 4 with the factory workers and eliminated Elemental Masters. This was an early example in the show of his promise to his mother to "always stand up to those who are cruel and unjust", even though the phrase was never shown until Season 13. Rarely does Cole back down from a fight, for better or worse. When Jay aggravated Cole about Nya, Cole was willing to fight back. However, it doesn't seem like it was about Nya as much as it was about seeing who was the better of the two. However, in the end his maturity manages to shine through, with him finally ending the fight in the Tournament of Elements. Since then, Cole is proud to be considered Jay's best friend and is shown to return this friendship. Season 11 showed how sensitive Cole is to keep his friends happy and how he hates letting them down. This is most evident when Cole felt extreme guilt for losing the Traveler's Tea. He also seemed like a pretty good artist, making some pretty well-drawn ninja puppets to tell the kids stories about Aspheera and how the ninja got into the Never-Realm. The other times we see drawings from him are the ones hanging in Lilly's room when he was younger in Season 13 and in Season 1 when Nya was explaining the venom of the Venomari. In Season 12, he and Kai heroically both sacrificed themselves for the others to win the Speedway Five-Billion. Both Jay and Cole in this season were shown to be the video game experts on the team. Cole has a lot of confidence in his super strength. In Season 4 after Chen took his elemental power, Cole yelled that they couldn't take his super strength, in which he was quickly proven wrong. This happened again when the ninja were put in jail. In Season 8, his advice to Lloyd to impress Harumi was to act tough and flex his muscles. Cole is the most likely ninja to give nicknames. Some nicknames/name calling include calling Zane "Tin Can," or "Pinky" (when Zane's gi was pink in Can of Worms) and calling Jay "Motormouth," "Zaptrap," and "Bluebell." He also makes fun of his friends' crushes, like when Kai thought Skylor could've been related to him, or after Lloyd went into town with Harumi. For himself, he befriended Princess Vania, but nothing romantic occurred between the two and he assured Lloyd that he doesn't like her in that way since they just met. Earth: Cole commands the element of Earth, giving him great physical strength and durability. He can stand his ground to a supernatural degree and enemies frequently act as though they have hit a person-shaped brick wall when they bump into him. At full power, he can manipulate the earth below his feet, causing earthquakes, creating fissures, throwing rocks and dust at enemies, or even burying things in rapidly-rising mounds of dirt. Earth Punch: After defeating Yang, Cole obtains superhuman strength, even more so than before. This is seen in use when his arms glow orange. Cole himself doesn't even know the extent of this new ability, nor is he an expert at controlling its power. At times, his hands appear to have a mind of their own when the power is activated. But over time he manages to control it and summon it at will, but it is shown that if he becomes lazy and doesn't train, it loses its ability. Elemental Golem: Sometime after the Merge, Cole obtained the ability to transform into a golem, using his Earth Punch and surrounding rocks. Spinjitzu: Like his fellow ninja, he can also perform Spinjitzu. He can combine his Earth Punch with Spinjitzu to make a magma trail. Spinjitzu Burst: In contrast to the other ninja, Cole possesses the unique ability to execute the Spinjitzu Burst. Initially, Cole harbored reservations regarding his mother's capacity to perform the technique until he recollected the promise he had made to her to stand up for what is right. Airjitzu: Cole can perform Airjitzu. Dancing: After coming to terms with his dancing heritage, Cole gains a surprising amount of grace and flexibility, allowing him to wriggle out of tight spaces when he relaxes himself. Triple Tiger Sashay: His new agility also enables him to perform the Triple Tiger Sashay, which is effective against multiple opponents or for getting himself out of trouble. Scythe: In battle, Cole favored scythes, especially the Scythe of Quakes. He wielded a larger and sharper scythe in Season 7. Kai is the current Elemental Master and Ninja of Fire, Nya's older brother, Ray and Maya's son, and mentor of Wyldfyre. He and his younger sister worked as blacksmiths in their father's blacksmith shop all their life until they met Master Wu. With his guidance, Kai learned Spinjitzu and discovered his other teammates, Cole, Jay, Zane, and Lloyd, with whom he embarked on many adventures; battling the likes of the Serpentine and the Stone Army. Typically preferring red attire, Kai has tall, thick spiky brown hair, shaped like fire, similar to his hair He is often seen with a focused expression on his face, with a scar visible on his right eyebrow and a bandage above his left, which has been there for a long time, possibly because he thinks it looks cool. In "Way of the Ninja" and "Endings," Kai wore a white shirt and red pants as well as an orange apron. Since "The Royal Blacksmiths," Kai's civilian attire consists of a red half-zipped up sweater over a maroon shirt with his symbol on the chest and brown pants. Throughout Season 6, he wore a red cap over his hair to conceal his identity. In the pilot and The New Masters of Spinjitzu, it can be observed that Kai has chest hair while wearing pajamas, but in later appearances where his chest is visible, including the appearance of his past self while time traveling to the events of the pilot, the hair is no removed, retconning his original torso. Fittingly for his elemental affinity, Kai is very hot-headed, prone to taking action before he thinks things through. He is capable of making careful observations when the need arises, but his emotions often override his caution. His single-mindedness made interaction with his teammates difficult at first (especially due to his worry about Nya), but he eventually learned to work with the other ninja. He can be very cocky at times, especially earlier in his career as a ninja, sometimes even to the point of selfishness, insisting that he is better than others, gloating about his victory, or yelling about his failures. He seems to have a large ego as he wanted to be the Green Ninja and lead the team. He eventually grew out of this for the most part, though he occasionally lapses back into a similar mindset. But those emotions are also when his strength is greatest, especially when protecting those he cares about. Kai´s personality represents caution, growth, safety, and warmth. He may not say it much, but he deeply cares about his loved ones and will do anything to protect them, even at the cost of his own life, which is why he´s so overconfident. Later, following the ninja's fame, Kai would end up getting something of a larger head and bigger ego, constantly flirting with girls and enjoying the merchandise styled after him. He indulged in his fame the most out of all of the ninja.[11] Usually, because he often feels insecure, Kai feels like he´s useless or insignificant at times or not as good as the other ninja. Kai also has something of an overconfident stubborn side, believing that he is in the right until overwhelming evidence to the contrary is presented. This is especially pronounced during Lord Garmadon's stay on the Destiny's Bounty; Kai repeatedly accused the four-armed villain of treachery or plotting despite Garmadon's insistence that saving Lloyd was his primary concern at the time.[12] On the other hand, Kai's stubborn streak lends him incredible determination that allows him to bolster the team's spirit in the face of impossible odds. and, at another point, losing hope when his power was taken by Aspheera. Overall, Kai is a tough, brave, confident, passionate ninja. The most prevalent facet of Kai's personality is his good heart and dedication to the people he cares about—if someone can earn his friendship, he will stop at nothing to protect them. Much of his stubbornness and recklessness is due to his desire to help his loved ones, either directly or by becoming strong enough to defeat anyone who might threaten them with their plans. In turn, his friends and family work to balance out Kai's more extreme traits, causing him to become a level-headed mentor for Lloyd by the time he and his comrades begin training the Green Ninja. According to Zane, Kai's desire to protect his friends is just as powerful as his temper. Unlike his sister, Kai likes to spend time with his parents and does not mind it when his mother tends to baby him. He also formed a better relationship with Ray while playing video games at the monastery with Cole. Fire: Being the Elemental Master of Fire, Kai can create Fire with his own hands and either throw it, use it as boxing gloves, or unleash a burst of flames towards his opponents. It is also shown that he can withstand high temperatures and walk through fire unharmed. He also has the ability to move fire at will. Combat: Even before his ninja training, Kai is a competent fighter, wielding a sword against the Skulkin when they attacked the blacksmith shop. Kai manage to fight Karlof and Ash in the Tournament of Elements, although Kai lost twice against Karlof he did mange to put up a fight and with Ash, he was mostly fighting using his ninja training skills. Once Kai started to use his powers, he manage to defeat Ash. Kai is also capable of performing hand-to-hand combat, able to go toe-to-toe with the Time Twins and later Kalmaar. He also manage to have the upper hand against his fight with Aspheera, before Pythor help restrain him. Years later after the Merge, Kai skills improved to the point where he manage to fight the New Master of Smoke, Cinder, and even predict his attacks. Once Kai learned the Rising Dragon, he manage to outmatch Cinder again. Swordsmanship: As Kai's primary weapon is often swords, he is skilled in using many types of blades. Blacksmith: Kai can work as a blacksmith when needed. As seen in "Endings," he was able to melt down the Golden Armor, and reforge it into the weapons it was previously made from. Although, Nya used to tell him he was a terrible blacksmith, as of "Way of the Ninja." Somehow, he was able to gain these skills with hardly any practice at all. Merge, Kai skills improved to the point where he manage to fight the New Master of Smoke, Cinder, and even predict his attacks. Once Kai learned the Rising Dragon, he manage to outmatch Cinder again. Although, Nya used to tell him he was a terrible blacksmith, as of "Way of the Ninja." Somehow, he was able to gain these skills with hardly any practice at all. Weapons Swords, katanas, and blades: Kai favors swords in combat, taking up a curved silver blade against the Skulkin when they attacked his shop. Sword of Fire: He used the Sword of Fire as his primary weapon until it was lost, and then switched to wielding regular katanas. Twin katanas: In Season 8: Sons of Garmadon and Season 10: March of the Oni he switched to using two katanas. Jay Walker (born Jay Gordon[1]) is the current Elemental Master of Lightning, the adoptive son of Ed and Edna Walker, surrendered by his biological parents, Cliff Gordon and his wife. He learned skills including Spinjitzu and discovered his other teammates, Cole, Zane, Lloyd, and Kai, with whom he embarked on many adventures; battling the likes of the Serpentine and the Stone Army. Jay has always been a likable and charismatic character, despite being annoying sometimes. Besides his show, he had his own "League of Jay" where fans inspired by him had avatars that looked like him. As Superstar Rockin' Jay, it was another show of his charismatic but egotistical nature Jay is the most light-hearted and energetic of the ninja. He is always telling jokes, most of which are only funny to himself. He usually does this to cover up fear and anxiety, as revealed in Season 6. He is also sensitive in both positive and negative ways and thinking. He enjoys boasting about his abilities, such as inventing and poetry, much to the annoyance of the others, but he proves to be a good friend and a skilled fighter. He is also somewhat high-strung, typically being the first to panic in dire situations Jay can get a laugh out of making fun of his friends. In Season 4 when the ninja thought Skylor was related to Kai, Jay laughed about it as he told Sensei Garmadon. In Season 8, he told the group that he was recording and will make many copies of Cole's horrible singing. He also has a lot of faith in his friends, assuring everyone that Lloyd would come to their rescue when they were all imprisoned by Chen, only to be incredibly sad and worried when Lloyd didn't show up he also wears a blue ninja gi. In Sons of Garmadon onward, Jay has curly hair resembling his LEGO Ninjago Movie appearance, generally wearing blue clothing to represent his elemental color. He has brown eyebrows and light freckles. In Seasons 8-10, Jay has dark-brown hair, but from Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu onward, he has reddish-brown hair akin to earlier seasons. At random times, Jay has a habit of talking, shouting, or screaming very loudly. It's usually whenever he loses his temper, he gets really scared or freaked out, or when he sometimes becomes impatient. It also happened during dangerous or tight situations. An example of this is when Kai tries to tell the other ninja that the Great Devourer has a weak spot on its forehead, Jay responded with sarcasm and then yelled that it is impossible to kill it, due to it being "ridiculously" huge. Another example is when he freaks out upon seeing the Tiger Widow when he was sent to collect its venom. Lightning: Jay can harness the power of Lightning to create a Spinjitzu tornado of pure electricity. He can also seemingly fly with his powers,[9] although he hasn't used this ability ever since, as it seemed to be part of his True Potential abilities. His lightning powers were enhanced further by the Nunchucks of Lightning, and later by his Elemental Blade. Elemental Dragon: Like all other Elemental Masters who managed to overcame their fears, Jay is capable of summoning his own Elemental Lightning Dragon at will. Mechanical skills: Jay has an eye for machines and gadgets, being in charge of repairing and maintaining the various technology at the ninja's disposal. He was responsible for restoring the Destiny's Bounty to a functional state and equipping it with the modifications needed to make it fly. Over time, his inventing side was less emphasized, due to Nya, Dr. Julien, and P.I.X.A.L. taking up the role of gadgeteer, but Jay's skill with technology should not be underestimated. Video game proficiency: Thanks to playing video games a lot of the time and learning skills, Jay was able to easily reach Level 13 in Prime Empire, as well as knowing how to use the video game to his advantage. Dancing: Prior to "Let's Dance," Jay obtained dancing skills from playing Dancy Pants. Guitar playing: Jay is able to play the guitar well, as shown in Prime Empire. Painting: Jay had been able to use his isolation at the Lighthouse Island to paint a portrait of Nya, seen in "Farewell the Sea" and one of his bearded self, seen in "The Call of Home." Combat: Despite his goofy nature, Jay is a competent fighter and capable of performing hand-to-hand combat, able to go toe-to-toe with multiple enemies. Agility: Jay is shown to be very quick and light on his feet. In "Raid Zeppelins", Jay manage to not only flight Clancee on a Raid Zeppelin but he also mange to avoid Doubloon by slide from a floating island to floating island despite having a Vengestone chain ball on one leg. Nunchucks of Lightning: Jay used the Nunchucks of Lightning as his primary weapon until it was lost, and then switched back to wielding regular nunchucks. he primarly used the Nunchuks of Lightning in Season 1 and briefly in Season 10 and in Season 15. Zane is the current Elemental Master and Ninja of Ice, P.I.X.A.L.'s boyfriend, as well as the first Nindroid created. Zane was recruited by Master Wu, and learned Spinjitzu and discovered his other teammates, with whom he embarked on many adventures; battling the likes of the Serpentine and the Stone Army. During this time, Zane was reunited with his inventor/father figure, Dr. Julien, but sometime after the Final Battle, Dr. Julien passed away once again he wears a white ninja gi. Usually seen in white clothing, Zane's Titanium form has silver hair in a tall flat-top/crew cut hairstyle with no sideburns, and sharp eyebrows. He has glowing blue eyes which are optical sensors[1] and is usually seen with straight-faced expression, reflective of his robotic nature. His cloaked form has white hair, the normal yellow skin of a LEGO character, and bright blue eyes. As of Crystalized, Zane's cloaked form now has the same blond hair color as his original body. He had a control panel in his chest which he could open up, containing switches for vision, audio, voice, power, memory, and humor—he also had a set of switches in his arm. In Rebooted ("The Art of the Silent Fist"), his power source is found in his chest. Between Legacy of the Green Ninja and Rebooted his interior was upgraded.[3] It appears differently from its original design, with his power source visible and located where his heart would be and the old-fashioned switches and gears have been replaced with a more modern, wired look. The updated design was continued over to his titanium form, albeit now two-dimensional, and the power source design also appeared on his back in his first titanium design. In Sons of Garmadon ("Dead Man's Squall"), a computer scan of his body shows him having lungs. When he was introduced, Zane is undoubtedly the most serious and reserved of the ninja, as he had no sense of humor and didn't understand the way his fellow ninja socialize. He has little understanding of humor or even basic social conventions (as seen when he walked into the bathroom, despite Cole being on the toilet). It's inferred from the pilot episodes that Jay was teaching/informing Zane about humor. He also has a strong bond with Master Wu, being the most polite and respectful towards him and finding a sort of paternal presence in him; the two share moments of quiet while the other ninja goof off in a way he can't connect with, or when the ninja are with family and he has none. The other ninja are occasionally wary of his strange habits, but they quickly learn to accept him for it, even relying on it, like with the robotic Falcon in Season 1. Initially, Zane was melancholy over his inability to remember his parentage or where he came from. He eventually accepted the ninja as his family and that their home was his home, but he never truly gave up on finding details of his past. Upon learning his origins, he was briefly struck by shock and depression, only to overcome his feelings and accept his robotic nature when he restored his memories. When he eventually reunited with his father/creator, Dr. Julien, in Season 2, he readily accepted him as his father figure. Zane is quick to form strong attachments, the most attached to the idea of his fellow ninja as his "brothers" and finding a deep kinship with the Falcon and companionship with P.I.X.A.L. minutes after meeting them. He has been known to take heavy risks on impulse for the people he loves, even if, in the case of P.I.X.A.L., there is no evidence he should trust them yet. On many matters, Zane's unusualness and people's tendency to ridicule him are a result of his tendency to care deeply in a way others wouldn't—a food fight and a mockery of his pink apron drove him to run off, meeting a fellow android had him falling for her hard and refusing, even before he knew her, to reconcile with her being evil or to leave her behind as an enemy. Zane is often inclined to speak more honestly about emotions that others would tend to mask, like grief or confusion. After rebuilding himself as the Titanium Ninja, Zane has become even more accepting of his own robotic traits. He considers himself in some ways a new person—which allowed him to unlock his Elemental Dragon. After this change, Zane is more willing to joke at others' expense, cockier, and his sense of humor has been known to be bitingly sarcastic, though his core values and programming remain intact. However, since the beginning he has struggled to understand figures of speech, relying on his friends to explain every so often. Sometimes, he will still interpret the phrases incorrectly. Zane is a very intelligent Nindroid, with a vast array of knowledge at his disposal, a gift for cooking, and a knack for statistics. It can be inferred from the Season 8 and the Tales from the Monastery of Spinjitzu that Zane continues to upgrade parts of himself. His companion P.I.X.A.L. was a part of his artificial intelligence from Seasons 4 to 7, in which he had her company everywhere he goes. However, he ended up being too dependent on her for analysis. His pattern of speech also displays his intelligence. He is formal and has a larger vocabulary than the others. Zane learns more quickly than the other ninja, as shown to be the first to find his True Potential, getting the only compliment from Cole's father on his dancing, and learning to use the chain gun easily in the Realm of Oni and Dragons. It is also shown in Season 1 and 2 that he has the most endurance and can breathe underwater and in space, which makes sense for a robot.
