SCP-7408 Description Dr. Benjamin Kondraki was a researcher for the SCP Foundation and the former Director of Site-17. Kondraki was a controversial person and cared little for the consequences of his dramatic antics, earning him many rivals, the most famous of which was Alto Clef. Following the messy killing spree of SCP-083-D, which involved several other SCPs and caused extreme damage to Site-19, Kondraki was presumably killed for endangering the lives of staff and other contained SCPs. There are rumors that he survived, either on the run, going undercover, or simply living a new life. Early career in the Foundation At age 35, Benjamin Kondraki was hired by the SCP Foundation as an average researcher with little chance for advancement. He quickly became known for his excellent photography skills, taking photographs around the facility and accompanying agents to document events. Kondraki was promoted to Clearance Level 3 following the discovery of SCP-408. In 2008, after Dr. Alto Clef accidentally broadcast his intentions to terminate SCP-239 on an unsecured channel at Site-17, Kondraki was among several personnel planning to stop Clef before he could carry out his plan; he would then leave his living quarters and enter SCP-408's chamber. 408 would tell him more about Clef's plan, possibly manipulated by 239, before freeing 408 to combat Clef. Kondraki would later confront Clef with SCP-515 SCP-091. Professor Kain Pathos Crow in SCP-244 Kondraki fought Clef with the sword, who switched his gun to SCP-1023, a great darkness. After the incident, Kondraki received an honorable mention for his actions. Post-incident interview Following Incident 239-B The Blob Silence followed, before Kondraki attempted to piece together what Clef truly wanted. Clef briefly tricked Kondraki into believing he was Lucifer, mentioning Lilith, Eve, and the Apple. As a result, Clef was admitted to intensive care, and Kondraki was cleared of all responsibility. Farewell to the Duke part 1 posed. Kondraki was chosen to terminate 083, despite the urging of his colleagues. The O5 Council reluctantly agreed after being appeased by the newly appointed O5-8. Kondraki entered 083's containment chamber and answered the vampiric entity's questions in an antagonistic manner. Despite being frisked by security, he confronted 083 by spraying him with a vial of cat urine and garlic before firing seven silver bullets from his spare pistol at him. These failed to stop Duke, as he was not a classic vampire depicted in the media. While it has not been determined exactly what happened immediately afterward, when the surveillance equipment was destroyed, security teams, including MTF Rho-2 "Hawthorne's Heroes", were deployed to secure Kondraki and contain 083. 083 pursued Kondraki, though was briefly disoriented after being blinded by SCP-515 and had his leg severed by the doctor throwing SCP-388 at him; despite this, 083's regeneration abilities allowed him to continue attempting to kill Kondraki. Kondraki quickly ran past MTF Rho-2, and 083 inadvertently released SCP-162, which massacred the team. The researcher managed to grab a Telekill tension cable and put on a pair of anomalous Converse sneakers that increased his running speed, allowing him to outrun 083 and enter Keter's containment. Using SCP-408, Kondraki fooled 083 by faking his appearance, before appearing behind him and causing stress fractures with an extremely loud megaphone; this freed SCP-682 from its chamber. Kondraki taunted 083, hoping to scare him with what he was about to do. 682 entered the room, engaged in a fight with 083, and eventually devoured him. While this was happening, Kondraki appeared on 682's back, using the wire to... Farewell to the Duke part 2 of tension as reins. Even though 682 adapted and produced bony protrusions to impale Kondraki, he managed to hold on and mounted 682 into SCP-173's chamber. Eventually, 682 managed to devour Kondraki as well, which fit perfectly into his plan. Moments later, Kondraki and 083 managed to escape 682's body, with Kondraki running towards SCP-298 as it was being transported. He ordered 1/298/2 personnel to play a piece by Johann Sebastian Bach on the organ, which began to bleed 083 dry. This would ultimately completely drain 083 of his blood and kill him, with Kondraki collecting his gelatinous blood and hollow skull. 083's removal caused severe structural and collateral damage to Site-19, as well as the loss of many personnel. However, it was successful, and SCP-083 was dismantled. Glass's psychological test In 2009, Dr. Simon Glass performed psychological examinations on many Foundation employees, including Dr. Kondraki. Kondraki was asked to recount his favorite memory, that of when he shot someone in the face after his prey tripped over some entrails, while his D-Class accomplice cried. Glass was shocked by this, but continued with the examination. As the examination progressed, Kondraki began polishing a sword while telling a story about being involved in a shootout with Level 2 researchers for failing to replace the filter on a coffee machine in a break room he no longer used. He gave the excuse that the lack of coffee was making researchers tired, which in turn caused mistakes. Glass asked Kondraki to stop polishing his sword, before Kondraki asked if he could smoke. Draven kondraki Dr. Kondraki's only son, Agent Draven Kondraki, works for the Foundation's Mobile Task Force. He is bisexual and is in a relationship with Researcher James Talloran, who appears in SCP 3999.
