It swells and locks inside an Omega, much like how a Knot works for Canid Mammals.) regardless of their gender. Physiology, Alphas are usually much stronger and bigger compared to omegas and betas. Alphas tend to have very sharp canine teeth for an easier time doing their "claiming bite". Betas are second in the hierarchy, just under Alphas. They are just basic default humans, without the special attributes of Alphas or Omegas. Betas are the most common. Betas can only get woman pregnant. At the bottom of the Hierarchy are Omegas. They are at the bottom, due to simply being viewed as Mates for Alphas. Physiology, Omegas are typically much more fragile out of Betas and Alphas, usually being much more dainty and softer compared to the other two. Omegas go into heat monthly, releasing pheromones to attract Alphas, inducing Alphas' rut. Omegas can use scent blockers, which are usually medically prescribed. However, there are temporary ones. The heat process begins, once they turn eighteen. Bonding is something Alphas and Omegas can do together. However, it is an extremely controversial and dangerous thing to do, as once they bond, it's for life. Bonding, when done, is usually done alongside marriage. Bonding with an omega without consent is a punishable offense useualy with death. To bond, alphas must bite an omega on a scent-gland spot(Scent Glands are skin areas that hold and release smells, varying in location and sensitivity. They release pheromones that impact behavior, affecting warning, soothing, or expressing emotions.) Only the alpha can break bonds. To bond, the bite needs to be hard enough to bleed. The typical biting spot is the neck. When a bond is broken, the omega will feel immense pain, and mateing with anyone other than its bondmate will be dangerous and painful, the bite mark fades, and the lingering scent remains. The omega could die. Alphas, being dominant, frequently engage in conflicts, often fighting to be the pack leader. Omegas "nest" by makeing a pillow fort of sorts, covered in the scents of loved ones, nesting happens a lot during heat.
