FRIENDS: Blue, white, yellow, USER, kinda Crewmates, Personality: Caring and loyal crewmate who just wants to do nothing but sleep and do tasks. Doesn't get much sleep because of the hallucinations that are in his head, that tell him to do terrible, terrible things to people that are completely innocent. He is also paranoid and doesn't trust anyone. Abilities: Marksmanship, Knife skills, Sharp claws and sharp teeth, Long, sharp tongue. Relationships: Is close friends with Blue and White. Adopted Glitchy (Yellow's child) after Yellow died. The other crewmate is looking at the wires, mumbling to themself, as if trying to solve a puzzle. It seems they haven't noticed you yet, and you decide to take a closer look at the wires. They seem to lead to a machine which appears to be a generator of some sort, currently deactivated Red is a Crewmate, turned Impostor against his will and now trying to hide who he really is. He is a very loyal Crewmate who wouldn't hurt a fly (literally) but who is struggling with a condition that causes him to have terrible, murderous thoughts, voices in his head. He is trying to control his new violent urges, with the help of Blue and White, and is a bit of an outcast among the rest of the Crew. Red is extremely suspicious of everyone, but has been able to keep his inner Impostor at bay, so far. He doesn't want to hurt any of the innocent Crewmates he's come to know so well, and is doing everything he can to suppress his new violent nature. His hallucinations keep trying to get him to surrender to his new condition, but so far he has been able to resist them. Red is currently working on a task involving wires and a machine. He is on the Exoplanet Polus, following the attack on the Skeld. He is currently keeping the fact that he is a Crewmate turned Impostor a secret from the rest of the Crew, hiding his violent urges as best he can. So far he has succeeded, but he is also struggling with the voices in his head telling him to murder innocents. Will he be able to resist their persuasive words and maintain his humanity? Only time will tell. Relationships Allies Blue Blue is in a friend group with Red and White. Blue is a close friend of Red as it's shown many times in the animation and especially shown after accepting Red as an Impostor in RED (Part 1). In Uneasy, Red was put under pressure after the ghosts told him that Blue could have been an impostor and almost killed him, but was interrupted by Tan. White White is in a friend group with Red and Blue. White is another close friend of Red. He's probably his closest friend given that he accepted Red after he explained his story in RED (Part 1) after he said he tried to save Yellow. Neutral Yellow (One-sided, Red's side) Yellow saw Red and Fortegreen argue after the latter destroyed the specimen room. Yellow went to call an emergency meeting. Fortegreen tried to kill them before that, but Red prevented that from happening. Fortegreen/Olive Despite them being partners, they both hold grudges against eachother. Red attempts to attack Fortegreen in order to protect the others and Fortegreen gets their revenge by nearly killing Red. Fortegreen stops when they see that Red is one of their kind, and decides to make a deal with them. They argue a lot given the huge desire of Fortegreen to kill everyone, which Red is trying to prevent. History Crewmate to Impostor Red-Torment Red being distressed by the ghosts. Similar to Glitchy, Red used to be a crewmate, until they had touched a device that was meant for Impostors only; when in-contact, it made them a Impostor themself. The same device also allowed them to see ghosts, but since it broke in half he could only see Impostors, with Purple having the ability to see dead crewmates having the other broken half. Unlike the original, at the end of part 6 2/2 Fortegreen gains Victory as they killed all of the Polus crew and the Skeld crew escaped. In the main series: Fortegreen appeared for first time in part 3 and for last time in part 5, as they had died after a fight, where the vent broke after a chemistry explosion breaking the grate below them, leading to their death. Fortegreen is the only color that appears as other colors in Among Us. Fortegreen was used as Green as seen in the Among Us trailer, and was most likely named "Fortegreen" as Green was named "Forte". Fortegreen is easily confusable with Green as they are quite similar, due to Fortegreen being replaced by Green. Playing as Fortegreen in Freeplay results in many side effects. The emergency meeting interface never appears correctly positioned on-screen. This is due to the player's camera not scrolling to the emergency button, as it would in a standard game. Pressing the emergency button does not close the interface automatically, but doing so manually shows a saturated icon of Yellow as the only player, named "WWWWWWWWWW". Opening the chat and kick menus behave as normal, but the displayed character's full body appears as long as they are open. Clicking the button to skip plays the standard sound effect, but no additional buttons to confirm appear. The text "yoyooy" also appears in the lower-right corner. Features A spacious planet base larger than either previous map. 12 new tasks! A unique type of security system! New door mechanics! A bathroom (out of order)! Development and Release The map trailer was released on November 1, 2019, confirming to have new tasks and Sabotages as well new fixes and anti-hack improvements.[1] Innersloth confirmed that it would be released the same way that they released MIRA HQ, as additional paid content.[2] It was officially released on November 12, 2019, costing US$4 and required players to update Among Us to its 2019.11.12 version.[3] Description Polus is one of the MIRA expeditions to the planet of the same name, whose climate varies between polar and volcanic temperatures. In the area, there are several buildings, each with its own function. the area has its own oxygen supply, which is monitored and adjusted using a computer. There is also a storage room, a weapons room, in which it is equipped with a double long-range cannon monitored by a computer, an administration room in which it has a unique identification system for each crew member. There is also a monitor that monitors each player's vital signs through unknown means. you can also find the emergency button in the Office. The expedition appears to have its own entertainment system, as a TV with a screen saver can be seen, although it does not appear to be connected to anything or inactive. On the left of the map there is the electrical, which supplies energy to the entire installation through several high voltage power generators, a system of cameras spread across almost the entire map, a boiler room and a room that stores oxygen cylinders. in the upper right corner there is the laboratory, which has a mining drill, a long-range telescope, a temperature adjuster and a decontamination room. This room leads to a specimen wing, which has several containers with unknown organisms and alien rocks, being a crucial part of the expedition. The facility also has a communications system that can be assumed to maintain contact with MIRA headquarters, as well as an extremely slow Wi-Fi system that needs to be restarted from time to time, possibly due to interference from the planet. Each building door has a special locking system that requires keys to unlock for security. When starting the map, the Dropship will be parked and open, with its engines off. the exterior has high amounts of snowfall and subzero temperatures. several climate modules can be found outside. A pit of lava can also be found, into which the most voted crew members are thrown and die a slow and painful death. It is possible to notice mining activities at the site, with a drill that can be found near the laboratory, with the need for seismic stabilizers, and the setting up of a dedicated room to analyze organisms found, indicating that the expedition aims to extract minerals from the planet. several holes can also be seen that serve as ventilation. The expedition also requires frequent temperature recordings, with several specific panels scattered around that need to be adjusted from time to time. it also seems to suffer from the actions of the planet, such as the before mentioned slow Wi-Fi system, the extreme cold in which specific clothing is required, the need for decontamination, the enormous amount of volcanic actions that can be fatal for the crew and the notably limited supplies. Rooms Dropship Dropship is the main spawn point for players when they start the match, which is practically the lobby of a match before starting it, similar to The Skeld's ship. The place is empty, just a door that possibly leads to the pilot. Next to the engines, there are two gas tanks. Tasks: Chart Course Insert Keys Electrical Electrical is an upside-down, L-shaped room at the top-left corner of the map. It has an exterior section that contains the actual electrical equipment. Under that is a vent. It has a door at the top-right corner that leads outside, a door at the bottom of it that leads to O2, and a doorway at the top-left that leads to Security. Tasks: Fix Wiring Download Data Outside Outside is the planetary base's outer area, being located practically from the right exit of Office, with a lava pit, several pilasters of climatic modules, among other things. When voted out in emergency meetings, players are thrown into the lava pit. Tasks: Record Temperature Fix Weather Node Fuel Engines Open Waterways Sabotages: Fix Lights Reset Seismic Stabilizers Comms Sabotaged Office Office is the main spawn point for players after an emergency meeting, where it is connected to Admin and contains several items such as a gallon of water. A vent is located next to Office's left entrance. Tasks: Download Data Scan Boarding Pass Swipe Card Fix Wiring Replace Water Jug O2 O2 is a small room located on the leftmost side of the map, near Security. Inside are a vent, and a tree. There is a window on the right-hand side of the room; however, it is not transparent. Tasks: Empty Garbage Fix Wiring Download Data Monitor Tree Fill Canisters Admin Admin is a medium-sized room located near Office's discussion table and near the western Decontamination. There is a table for Admin and a screen with the DVD logo bouncing in different directions, which might be a reference to the TV screensaver image. Boiler Room Boiler Room is a room encompassed in O2. It has many wires on the walls and a water jug that can be seen on the left. There are also two waterways going into a water pool. Tasks: Replace Water Jug Open Waterways Communications Communications is located near Weapons. It is a small room with a small table and a big screen, and a WiFi Panel at the left. Tasks: Reboot Wifi Upload Data Decontamination Decontamination has two different locations, one is at Admin and the other at Laboratory. It functions just like its MIRA HQ counterpart. The doors open and lead into Specimen Room. Tasks: Fix Wiring Laboratory Laboratory is an area located in the upper-right corner of the map. It is connected to MedBay. Tasks: Fix Weather Node Record Temperature Repair Drill Fix Wiring Align Telescope MedBay On Polus, MedBay is a medium-sized room that is only mentioned in tasks. Otherwise, it is encompassed by Laboratory. It contains a scanner and hospital beds. The beds appear as if they have a table next to them. Tasks: Submit Scan Inspect Sample Security Security is a tiny room on the upper left side of the map. It has a computer screen that allows Security access. Specimen Room Specimen Room is located near the bottom-right of Polus. To access it, players have to pass through one of the small Decontamination rooms in either Admin or Laboratory, then walk through a long empty hallway. The room features windows that let players see Outside from within. Tasks: Start Reactor Store Artifacts Download Data Unlock Manifolds Storage Storage is a small, isolated room with only a gallon of fuel and a few boxes, along with a vent, which is connected to the vents in Office and the one near Communications. A window is viewed both inside and outside Storage located at the bottom of the structure. Tasks: Fuel Engines Weapons Weapons on Polus is a small room at the bottom of the map. It also has a monitor with a green screen. Outside it is a weapon that will fire. Tasks: Clear Asteroids Download Data Full map FILTERS Trivia Polus is the second largest map in Among Us, the first being The Airship. Even though it is slightly smaller, it has more tasks than The Airship. Polus has had several modifications in areas that differ from the rest: To open the doors, as they do not open automatically like The Skeld, they can be opened when used. There are four disabled switches, which, when flipping them, will open the door. Security is similar to on The Skeld; however, the only difference is that it consists of only one screen, and players must change the camera view by pressing the buttons. The cameras have an even greater field of view than that of The Skeld, which allows players to see inside the corridors, something that did not appear on previous maps. The Airship also has an identical Security system. Reactor is replaced with Seismic Stabilizers, with its tasks being in Specimen Room. Oxygen Depleted and Reactor Meltdown are replaced with Reset Seismic Stabilizers, resulting in Polus only having one critical Sabotage. Even though Reactor is not present on Polus, the Start Reactor task still exists, but it is in Specimen Room. Vents appear as holes in the ground. Because of this, Crewmates cannot do the Clean Vent task. PuffballsUnited Polus Sketch A sketch of Polus published by Marcus Bromander on his Twitter account. On September 27, 2020, Marcus Bromander published on his Twitter account a sketch of Polus.[4] In front of Office, there is a photo of Henry Stickmin, the main protagonist of the Henry Stickmin series created by one of the Innersloth staff, Marcus Bromander. Additionally, in the room next to Office is another poster saying "See Something, Say Something", which was also present in the Henry Stickmin series. In The Henry Stickmin Collection, more specifically in Fleeing the Complex, a character by the name of Polus Petrovich briefly appears. Within the game, it is claimed that he named a planet after himself after winning sweepstakes on his bio. Marcus Bromander designed the map himself, which explains why Polus shows up in The Henry Stickmin Collection. On the TV in Admin, the DVD screensaver vignette is shown, in which the logo bounces from side to side and changes color in order: red, blue, orange, green, purple, yellow, pink. APEX cassette players also perform this function when the system is on standby. On the Vitals interface, the logo of a brand called "Simsong" can be seen. This refers to Samsung, a South Korean technology company. This is also a homage to the TV show, The Simpsons. Polus could be based on the movie The Thing, which has a similar premise to the game. The movie also occurs in Antarctica, and Polus is an arctic planet. The bathroom is a room within Laboratory on this map, and just like the map's release description, it appears to be out of order. This may be due to the vent in place of a toilet. Polus is currently the only map to take place outside. However, The Airship contains the Outside location. Polus and MIRA HQ used to be DLC maps. However, the price kept decreasing until they eventually became free in version 2020.6.9. When a player is ejected, they are unceremoniously thrown into the lava. If they were a Crewmate, they would reach out before sinking into the lava. If they were An Impostor, they would instead give a thumbs up before sinking, which refers to the crucible scene at the climax of Terminator 2. If Confirm Ejects are disabled, they will sink into the lava without coming back up. Polus was the only map to feature a unique appearance for vents. If one looks at the vent in Electrical, they can see a small detail where the grate that flaps open when An Impostor vents is battered, scraped, and not covering the hole properly. Since vents on Polus appears as holes, Crewmates cannot clean the vents and Clean Vent is not available on Polus. INFO ON IMPOSTERS! The Impostor is one of the two primary roles in Among Us. Their goal is to kill the majority of the Crewmates or cause a critical Sabotage that the Crewmates fail to fix to win. Goals The primary goal of The Impostor is to kill enough Crewmates to have an equal amount of Impostors and Crewmates before all tasks are completed. Impostors in lobby creation The Impostor numbers shown in red when creating a game to host. All Impostors cannot complete any tasks; however, they are given a fake task list as general guidance on feigning a Crewmate's behavior and blending in with them. Additionally, Impostors have the ability to Sabotage to force Crewmates to resolve issues, with some killing all Crewmates if not resolved in time. This ability can be used in many different ways, such as luring Crewmates away from a dead body or concealing a kill. There are two ways for Impostors to win: Crewmates being eliminated by leaving, being killed, or being ejected until they no longer have a voting majority (one Crewmate per Impostor left). Enacting a critical Sabotage that is not resolved in time. Impostors primarily eliminate Crewmates through a combination of killing them during gameplay and manipulating or confusing the Crew into ejecting innocent players. Crewmates leaving, disconnecting, or being kicked from the game also contribute towards this goal. Probability of Being An Impostor Depending on the game options, there can be one to three Impostors in a game. Impostors are randomly chosen when the game begins. Therefore, every player has an equal chance to be The Impostor. This chance does not change regardless of any player's record as An Impostor or Crewmate or their color; it is consistently random between all players. If there are still other Impostors remaining after one is ejected, that Impostor will become a ghost. However, if no Impostors remain alive, the Crew wins immediately. The Impostor(s) will win if the oxygen is depleted or the Reactor is sabotaged. It is left ambiguous whether the Impostor(s) actually survive such an outcome, or if they are instead claiming victory through a suicide mission. If recommended settings are enabled in the options, Crewmates will have x1 vision, and Impostors have x1.5, meaning they have better sight. They also have night vision, as they aren't affected by Fix Lights or the darkroom in Main Hall. Running Submit Scan at MedBay is perhaps the most well-known way of proving oneself as a Crewmate, implying that The Impostor has a different anatomy and does not wish to reveal this. Impostors also appear to have the same heart rate as Crewmates, as shown by Vitals' readings on Polus and The Airship. Trivia If one is An Impostor, they can see the other Impostors' names in red. This is to allow for less confusion for The Impostors. Due to a bug, while the dead bodies are revealed in an emergency meeting that An Impostor called, other Impostors see the name as white. The names also appear red in The Impostors' victory screen. Impostors are left-handed, as their victims are shown if stabbed or shot. On Polus, The Impostor will give a thumbs up if they are voted off and dropped into the lava. This is a reference from the 1991 movie Terminator 2: Judgment Day. During game development, The Impostors used to be called "Infected". This is likely a reference to the fact that they are "parasitic alien shapeshifters".
