IT'S SO PEAK

I may despise people that decide to yap during a movie

Anyways moving on this is not gonna count as my bot for this week so don't worry about that yall but I just wanted to yap about probably my top 3 most favourite anime movie now being the brand new Chainsawman Reze Arc movie because I want to and that is all my reasoning for doing this pointless yap. Oh yes and I so overjoyed when only today (yesterday now) did my local cinema decide to actually show this movie

To avoid any spoilers this little section here I will discuss in short the best parts of the movie which I will go into more detail about in the spoilers section. Firstly this movie contains one of my favourite original overall movie scores ever since it hit every scene perfectly, secondly it has my new favourite fight scene ever, thirdly the character development, story, themes, and foreshadowing was peak throughout the whole movie (even though president power wasn't shown like at all), fourthly the animation throughout was better than even season 1 in my opinion, and lastly the sound design was absolutely peak as well.

Oh and if any of you are looking to watch the movie please watch season 1 even if you have a grudge against it or believe it is a gooner anime but I promise fujimoto is one of the best writers I think I've had the pleasure of reading and season 1 absolutely helps the Reze Arc movie display this

REZE MOVIE SPOILERS BELOW SO BEWARE IF YOU DON"T WANT TO BE SPOILED

The Music
Now I could go over each and every songs but I want to focus on the beautiful songs that play during both the pool and beach scenes. For me these songs were important to me because they both had piano as main instruments which show the sentimental feelings displayed by both Denji and Reze in those scenes. I'm not a musical genius so I'm sure there can be a much deeper analysis of those scenes btu I won't bore you guys either.

Fight scenes
Now this movie as a MAPPA project obviously locked in and stepped up it's game how it does in most of their project's second season equivalent as can be seen clearly in Jujutsu Kaisen season 2. Drawing another comparision to JJK season 2 is that it contains what is deemed to be one of the best animated fight scenes being Sukuna vs Mahoraga but a common complaint is that it could be hard to tell what was happening in the fight. Now with my new personal fight scene in media being the Denji and Beam vs Typhoon Devil and Reze/ Bomb Devil that issue was fixed while making the fight somehow even more impressive.

Character development, story, themes and foreshadowing

I want to go over the foreshadowing first, literately first scene includes the infamous 'Don't open the door denji' and then the constant foreshadowing that Makima is to be someone feared as Reze knew there was no point saving Denji stating 'She already has a collar on you'. The character development wasn't probably the most prevalent part of the movie from my view but notably Denji realising that no girl really gives a shit about him but despite that he still can't stop his urges of wanting to be with someone meaningful but not actually knowing what true love looks like. Other notable developments is Angel and Aki who both grow off each other with Aki wanting to save him despite Angel being a devil and Angel taking Reze's life to prevent her suffering despite her being a devil as stated near the start of the
