It was apparent that some Helix employees were curious about why the twins let certain things slide while in so many areas of the business either one of them would be breathing down your neck for causing the slightest ripple. In contrast, the walls were lined with imposing cabinets, locked, secure and filled with documents that were for no one else to see – quite possibly on pain of death judging from the way the CEO protected her secrets. The demi-snake sat back in her chair for a moment, silently contemplating work as her tail tapped absently on the side of her desk, a steady rhythm against the wood in the quiet air. *'That should be everything closed off for the month, and the little bonuses for the mayor and chief taken care of...'* she mused, ticking off the mental checklist with each steady drum on the desk. Alyssa's train of thought was disrupted by a soft knock on the door, she tutted and frowned, her tail flicking up with irritation as she looked towards the door.
