Despite the Bull Clones' loyalty to their creator, Red Son shows little respect towards them, as seen with Bob and General Ironclad. (DBK) Red Son is extremely loyal to his father and will do whatever it takes to make D.B.K. proud of him. Red Son was the one who freed his father and wanted to get rid of MK for him. After failing to get rid of MK, Red Son built a special kind of armor that would allow the Demon Bull King to absorb things in order to be invincible. Despite everything Red Son does for him, D.B.K. shows no gratitude towards his son and is quick to chastise him when he fails to do something. DBK ignored Red Son as he suggested entering the Great Wall Race until he and his wife realized that it could be a good way to crush their son's ambitions, and so both him and Princess Iron Fan entered the race. When Red Son passed by them he accelerated and ended up crashing against a mountain and found himself unable to advance, possibly due to all the time he spent trapped under a mountain. Red Son made it farther than his parents, even though he didn't win. During New Year's, Demon Bull King cares about his son in his own way. When he found out Red Son escaped the Spider Queen, he was visibly proud of him and declared that he couldn't wait to see the Spider Queen get defeated by his son. When Monkey King said that the Spider Queen will eat Red Son, it caused him to become enraged. Once free from the Spider Queen, DBK left to save his son and freed him from the cocoon that Spider Queen trapped Red Son in. After the Spider Queen had been defeated, DBK agreed with his son to not tell Princess Iron Fan about the incident and called him "son" out loud, which made Red Son very happy. (Mei) Red Son met Mei when she rescued MK from him, believing that they were just racing. Mei mistook Red Son for a friend of MK's and wanted to invite him to play video games with them until she found out he was trying to kill MK. After MK is presumed to be dead, Mei grew very angry, and they would've fought each other had MK not arrived in his Cloud Jet. In "Revenge of the Spider Queen", Mei is at first distrustful of Red Son after he shows up on the Team Dronecopter and tackles him along with Pigsy and a reluctant Sandy, but slowly calms down after Red Son reveals that the reason he came to them was because his father was trapped by the Spider Queen. After MK makes the decision to let him help them defeat the Spider Queen, she reluctantly agrees. When Red Son brings them to the Celestial Realm to get the ingredients they needed for the antidote, Mei teased Red Son and refuses to let him go after the Immortal Peach on his own, he is condescending to her, so she bites him. Once they are in Heaven, the team is divided into groups, with Mei paired up with Red Son. While looking for a peach, Mei reminded Red Son of when he helped MK defeat his father, making him angry and defensive. Mei then jokes that since he was helping them now, he was a hero. Red Son then makes a note to put her on his hit list. She and Red Son are both angered when Strong Spider insinuates that they are in a romantic relationship. While the team fought against the Spider Queen, Red Son attempted to protect Mei but it only ended up in both of them captured. When DBK frees his son from the cocoon Spider Queen wrapped him in, Red Son in turn frees Mei. When Mei tells his father about how Red Son acted "like a real hero", he yells at her before teleporting himself and his father away. Red Son refers to Mei as "The girl" or "Dragon girl" (MK) When Red Son first met MK, he gained an instant disliking to him due to MK crash landing on top of Red Son after a bird makes him fall, ruining the Demon Bull Family's moment. After the Demon Bull King attempted to kill MK, Red Son stopped him, but only because he wanted to do it for him. However, after failing to get the Golden Staff back from MK, Red Son swore that he'll destroy him the next time they meet. During a confrontation at the Weather Station, Red Son met MK again, while mocking the Monkie Kid after he failed to use his powers correctly, which resulted to MK's friends getting hurt and later captured by Red Son. When MK returned to stop Red Son after Monkey King limited them, the two got into an intense fight until Red Son seemingly won. However, MK gained the upper and defeated Red Son and the Bull Clones by striking them with lightning. As a result, Red Son accepted his defeat at the hands of MK, but not before insulting him again. Red Son often brings up MK in conversation, even when he has little to do with the topic at hand. Red Son commented on Mei's livestream that MK seemed stressed. Red Son refers to MK as "Noodle Boy" ( Princess Iron Fan ) Princess Iron Fan is Red Son's mother. Princess Iron Fan dismissed Red Son's plan to get the Peaches of Immortality, calling it quaint and treating Red Son like a child. Princess Iron Fan arrived to pick up Red Son and the Skeleton Key, and Red Son appeared pleased to see her. When Red Son taunted MK and Mei about losing the key to him again, she visibly cringed. She then teleported the two of them away, disappointed. Despite everything, Princess Iron Fan does indeed care for her son since she protected him from the rage of her husband when he was possessed by the Lady Bone Demon. Red Son also showed concern for her when she approached the now freed Demon Bull King and was happy to see them together and his father back to normal. ( backstory ) When Red Son was born, his parents believed that he would be like any other demon child. But as he grew up, his powers became stronger, creating the Samadhi Fire. Red Son couldn't control the fire and because of it, he inadvertently destroyed everything he came across. Eventually, Red Son had the Samadhi Fire extracted from him by Monkey King, Ne Zha, and the Demon Bull King, placing them into the Rings of Samadhi. While Red Son was making the final adjustments to free the Demon Bull King, he and Princess Iron Fan notice Bob attempting to pull the Golden Staff off a mountain but failed, as his arms were ripped off. Red Son remarked that only people who are deemed worthy can lift the Monkey King's staff but created a Power Glove that is able to lift the staff for those who can't. After Red Son noticed nothing happened after he pulled the staff off the mountain, he questions Princess Iron Fan if she knew what mountain trapped the Demon Bull King until the aforementioned person was freed. When Demon Bull King asked Princess Iron Fan on how she freed him, Red Son interrupts by stating that he was the one who freed him and said that the Demon Bull Family will spread the world in darkness until MK accidentally falls on him. Enraged, Red Son gets mad at MK and decided to kill him to show the Demon Bull King how powerful became during the past five hundred years. However, when MK block Red Son's punch with the staff, the latter decided to take the staff by force, but only to be defeated when MK used the staff again. After MK escaped, Red Son went after him by using his Inferno Truck. By using the Inferno Truck and race car, Red Son chases MK across the City until he crashes to a restaurant. After failing to get the Golden Staff, Red Son builds the Demon Bull King a special kind of armor that is able to absorb energy to create energy and explains it to him. At a Shoe Store, Red Son asked an assistant for the latest shoes for him and the Demon Bull King. Moments later, he watches the Demon Bull King absorbing most of the shoes after being told to go to the back of the line. After being told that the Monkie Kids went to Flower Fruit Mountain by General Ironclad, Red Son gets mad at him for letting them get away until Princess Iron Fan arrived, saying that she'll get the staff. Later, Red Son watches Princess Iron Fan returning with the Golden Staff and the Demon Bull King being empowered by it. After MK's team returned to the City, Red Son attempts to fight them until being hit by the Cloud Jet. When the Demon Bull King was defeated, Red Son tells MK to face him without the Monkey Mech but passed out and Princess Iron Fan rescued him and the Demon Bull King. At the Flaming Foundry, the Demon Bull King takes his anger out by destroying parts of the foundry until Red Son says that he'll help him get the power he deserves before heading out. With the help of the Bull Clones, Red Son breaks into the Weather Station to control the City's weather so he can return the Demon Bull King to his former glory. When MK and his team arrives, Red Son watches MK accidentally hurting Mei and Sandy and knocking himself out of the Weather Station, allowing Red Son and the Bull Clones to capture the team. After MK returned to the Weather Station, Red Son engages in a fight with him until he was able to defeat him. However, MK was able to use the Golden Staff to hang Red Son and the Bull Clones outside on top of the Weather Station and zapping them when he presses the lightning button. After being defeated, Red Son insults MK before leaving. At the Flaming Foundry, Red Son tells Princess Iron Fan and Demon Bull King about the race, and the supposed prize of a Peach of Immortality. However, his parents seem uninterested, so he goes to enter the race himself. Later, Red Son pulls up in his race car at the racetrack as a new competitor along with Gold and Silver Demons and his parents. After the Horn Demons randomly become the announcers of the race, Red Son is shocked like everyone else, though he still races. During the race, Red Son mocks his mother and father about not being able to get the dump truck to do a quick turn, forcing them to go through a mountain. Red Son almost wins, but he is beaten by Mei and MK in the Cloud Roadster. After losing to them, he throws a fit, claiming that he should have the peach prize. However, when MK bites into the peach and it turns out it's just a trophy, Red Son gets angry and claims he knew that all along. Then, he walks away. After the Bull Clones were able to dig up the tomb, Red Son watches Princess Iron Fan telling the Demon Bull King that they can't open the tomb due to their powers not being strong enough. Although, Red Son knew that the Skeleton Key could open the tomb and went off to retrieve it. While MK and Mei were having fun with the Skeleton Key, Red Son takes the key from them and escapes by using his Inferno Truck. However, he was stopped by them when Mei and MK destroyed the Inferno Truck and race car respectively. Despite this, Red Son was able to get the Skeleton Key back when Princess Iron Fan came, allowing the Demon Bull Family to escape with the key. MK: “Okay, time for round two.” Red Son: “No. This time, we fight with you.” —Red Son helping MK After Megapolis was conquered by the corrupted Demon Bull King, Red Son continued to support his father until he was mocked for his lack of success. Suddenly, the Demon Bull King was persuaded into thinking Red Son was a traitor and tried to attack him. Princess Iron Fan stopped him and told and she and Red Son tried to hold him back. When MK arrived, Red Son and Iron Fan helped him by stalling the Demon Bull King so the canisters on his armor can be destroyed. Although they were defeated, the Backup Clone threw a rock at the Demon Bull King before he could any more harm. As he was distracted, the Demon Bull King was ambushed by MK and the MK Clones, having the canisters on his armor be destroyed and freed from the power source's corruption. Not long after, Red Son was about to leave with his parents as he looked at the canisters that contained the power source. Red Son insisted that he and his father should give up being evil so they could spend some time together by selling street food to the people of Megapolis. Red Son found Mei and offered to help her control the Samadhi Fire. During the Mayor's address, he highlighted Lady Bone Demon's invincibility, now that she had control over Monkey King. However, MK remained optimistic, citing Monkey King's victory over her in the past. Red Son, on the other hand, was doubtful, given Lady Bone Demon's hold over Monkey King and her capture of Mei. The Mayor went on to explain that Lady Bone Demon's ultimate goal was to recreate the mortal realm in the past, which was she was defeated by Monkey King in the past. MK inquired about the location of Mortal Realm, but Red Son clarified to MK that they were in it. Macaque made a statement regarding Lady Bone Demon's suppression of the Monkey King, indicating that it drained her energy. Red Son inferred that it presented a vulnerability, but before he could finish, Sandy interrupted and said the same thing, annoying Red Son. MK suggested that destroying the bone mech would prevent her from utilizing the Samadhi Fire. Red Son was skeptical about the plan, but Tang urged him to allow MK to finish. Red Son clarified that he was just wanting an agreement from the others before letting MK continue. Red Son then raised concerns about Monkey King's potential involvement in the plan, but MK remained confident and suggested Macaque to fight him. The team equipped themselves and boarded the T.E.A., with Red Son utilizing his abilities to create a portal, allowing the van to cross through to reach the bone mech. As they approached the mech, Red Son asked if they should slow down, but Tang advised against it, as it was not the Monkie Kids' typical strategy. The T.E.A. then crashed into the bone mech, prompting Pigsy, Tang, and Sandy to announce the arrival of the Monkie Kids while Red Son fell to the ground. Upon noticing Mei trapped in the crystal, Red Son utilized his powers to shatter it and requested help from the Monkie Kids. Red Son was held hostage by Peng as Azure Lion tried to convince the Demon Bull King to join him. As the Demon Bull King was infuriated by Azure Lion, he attacked the Brotherhood, freeing Red Son and Princess Iron Fan from their grasp, but at the cost of Red Son's parents being trapped in the Scroll of Memory. Red Son then went to the Celestial Realm to warn Ne Zha about the Brotherhood. The Jade Emperor As the Brotherhood fought in the Celestial Realm, Red Son joined the fight before being trapped within the Scroll of Memory.
