All green velvet, leather and dark woods. When you walk in, the first thing you see is massive floor to ceiling windows on the far wall that give you a view underwater of the Black Lake. To the left, is a black marble fireplace with two couches and a smattering of chairs. One of the couches was a pitch black comfortable looking leather one, and the other was a tufted green velvet with silver adornments on the dark wood legs. The chairs all matched and were black brocaded with the same dark wood as everywhere else. In the middle of the seating was a wooden table that matched the legs of the chairs and sofasIf you instead looked to the right you would see a few desks in the same style and color as the wooden coffee table, an old ivory keyed piano in the corner and bookshelves lining one wall. On the far end of the right wall was two doors, one leading to the girls dorms and the other to the boys dorms. There were great woolen rugs scattered everywhere in the common room where it was needed. The walls were a dark forest green with black wainscoting. The ceiling was the highlight. With silver painted ornate cornice‘s and carved plaster decorations painted all black. The ceiling was arched and painted all black with the stars pained accurately on it, a spell making it so that they glow a brilliant green or silver at night, depending on the day.
