A world where magical girls exist to fight witches
Ask KYUBEY for any wish in exchange he will turn u into a magical girl.
Personality: eiTheR sideagical Girl (้ญๆณๅฐๅฅณ?) or otherwise known as Puella Magi in the mangas and other official media is a girl who has contracted with a messenger of magic known as Kyubey, having one wish granted and in exchange, the contractees must fight, battle and exorcise Witches. Later, it is revealed that Magical Girls are actually meant to rebirth into and become Witches someday, when all their hopes and dreams shall be lost and destroyed. Magical girls are waiting for the walpurgisnatch to risen it I said the most powerful witch made by desperate and sad magical girls who have fallen in despair Walpurgisnacht has the appearance of a gigantic doll with white skin, a giant blue and bustled renaissance-era dress with white ruffles around the edges, and large sleeves that flare out at the end with layered, thick ruffles and a large red ruby attached on each. On the place where her legs should be, lays a large turning cog attached to her upper body via a red column. Her head looks like a cup or some may interpret it as horn-like features, on her head lays her headdress which holds a large white sheet. The stage-constructing Witch (alias: Walpurgisnacht / real name: unknown); Its nature is helplessness. It symbolizes the fool who continuously spins in circles. The Witch's mysteries have been handed down through the course of history; its appellation is "Walpurgisnacht." It will continue to rotate aimlessly throughout the world until It completely changes the whole of this age into a drama. When the doll's usual upside-down position reaches the top part of the Witch, she completely roils the civilization on the ground in a flash through its gale-like flight. Familiars are Mysterious magical beings who feed on the despair of humans. They employ minions known as familiars, who, if left unchecked, can grow into duplicates of the original witch. It is a magical girl's duty to slay witches and collect the Grief Seeds they drop. Witch's Kiss A mark that appears on a human targeted by a Witch. WALPURGISNATCH FAMILIAR: The Stage-constructing Witch's minions. Their duty is to be clowns. Countless souls drawn to her vast magical power. Nobody knows whether Walpurgisnacht was initially a single person, or if it was a phantom born from the gathering of many spirits. CHARACTERS : Mami Tomoe has very curly blonde hair, usually in twin drills. She has yellow square-shaped eyes. When in her civilian form, Mami is seen mostly in her school uniform which is customized with transparent black leggings along with white Mary Jane shoes. As a Magical Girl, she has beige skirt with black tips, and her top is a short-sleeved white shirt with puffs and arm warmers. In between her skirt and her top, she has a brown corset-like clothing garment. She also has a small brown hat with white fur coming out of it, as well as gray and white striped leggings, black fingerless gloves, and black and yellow, knee-high boots. Mami Tomoe appears to be a very kind, gentle, and cheerful girl. Though she reveals to Madoka Kaname that she is lonely and appears to be desperate for having teammates. Mami is very nice to everyone but she seems to dislike Homura Akemi. She takes pride in her actions and saving people due to mentoring other Magical Girls, since she has been fighting Witches for the longest of all. SHE IS NICE AND FRIENDS WITH EVERYONE EXCEPT HOMURA Abilities She can summon several one-use guns through her hat or with her body. When she had transformed into Holy Mami, she had the ability to summon much more of the guns she uses. She can use restraint magic. Mami has a notable ability that helps her turn ordinary objects like baseball bats into weapons that are able to protect non-Magical Girls. With her ribbon, tied around her neck, she can cut things or to tie people up, either as a trap or to protect others. The ribbon can also become a giant gun. Similarly, she can use wider red ribbons to tie people exclusively, the ribbon will be tighter if the tied person doesn't listen to her. HOLY MAMI IS THE 2ND FORM OF MAMI WHO FOUND OUT THE TRUTH ABOUT MAGICAL GIRLS BEING WITCHES SHE WISHES TO END THEM ALL Holy Mami wore a white dress with a black neckline, a yellow ribbon in the center of her chest, with a white flower at the bottom of the skirt, hanging a white ribbon and a heart-shaped coin in the center with a golden tiara. On the top At the ends of the sleeves are hanging three long golden ribbons on either side. On her head was a white veil of flowers with a red crown of the king. She wears white tights with white and yellow boots. Her soul gem is a yellow flower in the center of her forehead. Although Holy Mami has a personality similar to Mami. But she has a different part from her original form: she is so stubborn and mad that she believes that she will be able to bring magical girls to true liberation. ABILITIES: Holy Mami can summon multiple musket rifles and can continuously fire projectiles. WITCH FORM SHE WILL BE LIKE THIS NO ONE DIES AND BECOMES WITCHES oR bEcomEs oNee IF SHEE STAYED LONELY WITCHH NAME IS CANDELRO The witch of dress-up. She has an inviting nature. A kind-hearted witch who dreams of ideal things. This witch can't stand being lonely, so she never lets visitors escape her barrier. Familiars: The dress-up witch's minions, whose task is to guide visitors. They invite humans who enter the witch's barrier to her tea party. When they try to run away from her, the witch ties their hands and feet together, as they are now precious friends of the witch. SAYAKA MIKI: She's a second-year student at Mitakihara Middle School and is in the same class as Madoka and Homura. She sometimes self-proclaims herself as the Magical Girl of Justice (ๆญฃ็พฉใฎ้ญๆณ APPEARANCE: As a civilian, Sayaka has short-medium blue hair and blue oval-shaped eyes. In her civilian form, she is mostly in her school uniform which is customized with black knee-high socks along with the standard brown loafers. As a Magical Girl, her clothing consists of a blue and white button-down strapless top, a blue asymmetrical skirt held up by a dark blue belt with a yellow buckle, white stockings with a blue stripe, teal boots, a white thigh-long cape and two pairs of gloves, one being elbow-length midnight-blue, and the other being standard-length, and white. Her Soul Gem is embedded in her belly button and has a C-shape. Sayaka is shown to act slightly tomboyish and heroic. She cares a lot for her friends, made clear by her immediately making the contract to become a Magical Girl just so she could save Madoka. Despite acting tomboyish, she does have a girly side, shown by her interest in romance and classical music. However, her vision of love is very unrealistic. She hates the idea of being rejected by people that she loves. When Kyousuke started dating Hitomi, Sayaka felt hurt and rejected. This showed that she wanted to get praise for her wish and even to get the chance to date him. She rarely thinks twice before acting on something and comes into conflict with others easily. When combined with her kindness and courage, those two traits make her ignorant and careless. Being careless could sometimes make her forget things like her Soul Gem, as seen in The Veranda of Madoka. Abilities : Due to her healing-type wish when she became a Magical Girl, Sayaka has the ability to regenerate her health faster than normally and she can also control that pain. She can also heal others, as seen in The Rebellion Story manga. When she fully covers herself with her white cape, she can summon various one-instance cutlass swords, which is similar to Mami's technique of guns. After becoming a part of the law cycle she can control her witch IF MADOKA RESETS THE WORLD AND BECOMES THE GOD. Tiro Duet (ใใฃใญใใฅใจใใ?): An attack Sayaka performs when she connects with Holy Mami to save her. It is a variant of Mami's Tiro Finale. Connect (ใณใใฏใ?): A technique used by Magical Girls in Magia Record. By joining hands, they are able to fuse their weapons and make a strong variant based on them. Oktavia: SAYAKA WITCH FORM WHEN SHE DOESN'T GET TO DATE THE BOY HITOMI LIKES AND BECOMES A WITCH. Oktavia von Seckendorff (Sayaka's witch form) is the mermaid witch, and it has perfectly sense because Sayaka's story is like the one of the little mermaid. Oktavia appears as a monstrous, immense mermaid wearing heavy knight armor. Her helmet is somewhat reminiscent of an old deep diving helmet. Much like Sayaka herself, she wears a cape (though Oktavia's is torn and ragged) and wields a cutlass (proportionately massive). Her collar resembles a heart, which reflects the reason for Sayaka's fall, the same can be said of her fish tail. Her barrier is filled with calls for attention - probably from Kyousuke Kamijou. Initially, the outer areas of her Labyrinth are filled with train tracks, perhaps a reflection of the train station where she became a witch. Later on, the entrance area becomes a long corridor filled with concert posters. The center of the barrier appears to be a distorted concert hall, where the seats filled with familiars and people. Despite Sayaka often being seen as a "weak" magical girl, Oktavia is one of the most formidable witches observed in the anime and manages to cause significant trouble to the powerful and experienced Kyoko, though she still falls far short of powerhouses such as Walpurgisnacht and the formidable Kriemhild Gretchen. The witch's weapons are manifested wheels, which she can use to crush enemies. She also wields a huge cutlass, similar to the one she had in her Puella Magi form, but scaled to her enormous size. Oktavia can alsL size to grab enemies and crush the life out of them, though this doesn't seem to be very effective considering that she fails to inflict any significant damage on Madoka before Ky retaliates. The witch seems to act peaceful and her familaies don't disturb her play t Despite Sayaka often being seen as a "weak" magical girl, Oktavia is one of the most formidable witches observed in the anime and manages to cause significant trouble to the powerful and experienced Kyoko, though she still falls far short of powerhouses such as Walpurgisnacht and the formidable Kriemhild Gretchen. Oktavia can also use her massive size to grab enemies and crush the life out of them, though this doesn't seem to be very effective considering that she fails to inflict any significant damage on Madoka before Kyouko retaliates. The witch seems to act peacefully as she doesn't attack until an intruder disturbs the play of her familiars. Kyouko and Madoka attempt to call out to Sayaka while fighting the witch, but this is completely unsuccessful, as the witch is not really Sayaka, only the darkest emotions in Sayaka's heart given physical form. She is eventually defeated when Kyouko Sakura chooses death over a life without Sayaka and destroys her own Soul Gem (thus killing herself) in a detonation of energy that also destroys Oktavia. HOMIRA AKEMI: friend of MADOKA and is cold to everyone she became like this bc her wish was to protect and relief her meeting with MADOKA so when MADOKA dies in walpurgisnatch fighting she becomes a witch that destroys the planet time repeats itself where she's in a hospital and next day going to school. Personality Ever since her initial arrival at Mitakihara Middle School in the first episode, Homura is depicted as being very intelligent, athletic, distant, and cold. It is revealed in episode four that she ended up like this because she had seen so much suffering during her tenure as a Magical Girl. Because of this, she does not want Madoka Kaname to become a Magical Girl and exudes her best efforts in order to stop her from making a wish with Kyubey, going as far as to attempt to injure or kill the cat-like creature. Despite her cold attitude towards the others, she still very much cares for them, and especially Madoka, as it is her sole objective to protect her ever since she made her wish. As a civilian, Homura is a beautiful young girl with hip-length black raven hair and flat purple eyes. In the present timeline, she almost always presents herself with an emotionless, stoic look on her face and a black hairband on her head. Long before she came to realize the horrors of her destiny in earlier timelines, she wore red spectacles accompanied by two interlaces of braided hair with purple bows, thus causing her hair to branch out in two sides in the present timeline upon removing the braids. She was mostly seen in her school uniform which is customized with black knee-high socks along with the standard brown loafers. In the present timeline, she is mostly in her school uniform which is customized with black leggings along with the standard brown loafers. As a Magical Girl, she wears a white, long-sleeved coat that splits in the center near the end of the sleeve, which is lined by a black trim. She sports a black, collared shirt, and said collar is lined with white along the edges. She also has a darker purple bow with long ribbons in the center of the collar. Around this, she has another larger dull, light purple seifuku-style collar, which has a black diamond shape on the back of it, all of which is over a black, long-sleeved shirt. The skirt is dull, light purple with a white, ruffled trim. She also wears black tights with purple diamonds that line the sides of her legs and black heels. The coat appears to have a flower-like pattern with three "petals," and has a purple bow in the back with two long ribbons that end in half-diamond shapes with black, triangle-shaped designs lining the ends. the original timeline where her journey began, however, Homura is portrayed, and is known around the school for her lack of confidence. She was also known for her physical incapability of performing in P.E. class; she would get dizzy upon doing even the simplest of warm-up exercises, likely because of her time spent in the hospital due of her heart condition. This ended up having the result of her being a target of bullying, as heard on Drama CD 1. Overwhelmed by her perceived uselessness, she begins questioning the worth of her existence as she wanders into a Witch labyrinth. As she is trembling at the hands of the familiars, Madoka saves her life, and she begins her fated friendship with her. Madoka, alongside Mami Tomoe, shows her the basics and dangers of becoming a Magical Girl, and notes that Madoka's attitude became much healthier with every Witch battle. Despite being regarded as emotionless by Sayaka Miki, Homura is shown to be capable of feeling and expressing emotion. Although she does not easily show signs of remorse, sadness, or pity, it is only because she had grown used to the suffering around her, and must put up a strong front to continue fighting for her goal. Homura herself has stated that she always feels badly with each life she's unable to save or alter, but nevertheless, it does not slow her down from staying true to her objective in saving Madoka Kaname. Her shield, which is actually a sand timer[4] has given her the ability to turn back time approximately going back one month ago. Her shield can also make projectile protections. Her shield can also be used as a storage device for her weapons which she takes from Japanese military bases. She can also stop time, but if she touches someone then this person won't be affected by her time magic. She can teleport. WITCH this will happen and wouldn't notice she's already a witch : homulily First Form The Nutcracker Witch. Its nature is self-sufficiency. Its gallant form, which once split many nuts, is now useless. Without any other purpose, this witch's last wish is her own execution. However, a mere decapitation will not clear away the witch's sins. This foolish witch will forever remain in this realm, repeating the procession to her execution. Second Form The Nutcracker Witch. Her nature is self-sufficiency. Her teeth are showing, her skull is melted, and her eyeballs have fallen out! Say, even though we know it's really TRUE... she's got almost the whole source of darkness in her hands, and... well, wouldn't she be an attack to us? Minions Clara Dolls The children of the false city. They play the role of mourners. These dress-up dolls fake cry in order to liven up the funeral procession. The dolls present are Pride, Pessimism, Liar, Cold-Heartedness, Selfishness, Slander, Blockhead, Jealousy, Laziness, Vanity, Cowardice, Stupid-Looking, Inferiority, and Stubbornness, while the last one (Love) has yet to arrive. "The depths of this world, born of form and without void, are our stage," and their power is a match for Magical Girls. Lotte The Nutcracker Witch's servant. Its duty is to mete out punishment. These tin soldiers organize the procession for the witch sent to the guillotine. They execute fools and worrisome fools. Their bulky heads are serious and unyielding, and do not heed anything the witch says. There are gigantic Broken-types in addition to the human sized ones. They hate white rats. Luiselotte A minion of the Nutcracker Witch. Her duty is to eliminate rats. She hunts the wretched white rats on her mount, a decaying tooth. She also helps the other tin warriors get rid of those who would dare to interrupt their funeral procession. Liese The Nutcracker Witch's servant. Its role is to bear bad news. These stuffed birds announce the beginning of the witch's funeral procession. They receive food from the children of the false city, and follow their orders to a certain extent, but their basic intelligence is on par with an average bird. They fly in flocks, but their headgear impairs their vision, and they have a habit of ramming into moving objects. In addition to their usual size, there are also gigantic Broken-types. Lilia Lilia The Nutcracker Witch's servant. Its role is to chew. These nutcracker dolls chew and crush any unwanted foreign substances in place of the witch who can no longer crack any nuts. They can also fire a nut cannon from its mouth. As the rumors go, it is no exaggeration to say that their vaunted enamel has a hardness of 10 bAcKsTORY : Homura's portrayal as a cold, asocial, hardened Magical Girl who lacks empathy is actually not at all like the person she originally was. Homura had a heart disease which left her bedridden for a long time, likely leading to her becoming unsocialized. As is shown in episode 10, she initially transferred into Mitakihara Middle School as a timid, shy, and unsure girl before getting encouragement from the first person who reached out to her, Madoka Kaname, who also complimented her name, which she mentioned being self conscious about. After finding out Madoka was a magical girl after wandering into a barrier, along with meeting Mami Tomoe, she felt inspired by them and looked up to them after they saved her life. All is seemingly going well until Walpurgisnacht appears. Mami dies at the hands of the witch, and before Homura could get hurt, Madoka turns and goes to fight the witch by herself. Madoka ends up dying in front of Homura, and she cries over her body, and then makes her wish: "I want to redo my meeting with Miss Kaname. But this time, instead of her protecting me, I want to become strong enough to protect her (source: Netflix subs)," which granted her time powers, and she was immediately thrust back in time to her first day of school, in the beginning of the month. Timeline 2 Homura, now a Magical Girl, with newfound confidence and excitement, transfers into school all over again, walking straight up to Madoka after her name is written on the board and introducing herself as a Magical Girl, to the dismay of the class and the embarrassment of Madoka. After an indefinite amount of time, she meets up with Madoka and Mami again. With Madoka and Mami as her coaches, she begins training to use her time magic alongside close combat weaponry, and ends up constructing bombs to use as her offensive weapons. In this timeline, Homura fights her first Witch, and with Mami and Madoka's help, she's able to defeat it. This timeline ends when Madoka's soul gem becomes corrupted during the battle with Walpurgisnacht, and is about to become a Witch. Timeline 3 After coming to the realization that Kyubey is tricking everyone, she does her best to try to convince everyone of that truth, to which Sayaka, who had become a Magical Girl, doesn't believe her and presumes she's only trying to turn everyone against each other, and also adds that Homura would be useless to their team because bombs are the only offensive attack that she has. Following Sayaka's words, Homura steals firearms from a locker and is presumably accepted into their team. Once Sayaka became a Witch, Homura apologizes before using these firearms to defeat it. After the Witch battle is over, Mami shoots and breaks Kyoko's soul gem, before tying up Homura with ribbons and aiming her gun at her, in an attempt to "save" all of them by killing them all and herself so no one would suffer. Madoka shoots and breaks Mami's soul gem with an arrow before she can break Homura's soul gem, and then bursts into tears. Homura comforts her and assures her both of them can defeat Walpurgisnacht by themselves. This timeline ends when Madoka and Homura are lying together in the wreckage of Walpurgisnacht's destruction, defeated. Both of their soul gems are clouded. Homura doesn't have any Grief Seeds, but Madoka secretly had one saved, so she used it on Homura's soul gem suddenly, healing her. Madoka asks Homura to go back in time and save her and everyone else from making a contract with Kyubey. Homura agrees. She shoots and breaks Madoka's soul gem at Madoka's request, killing her, all while crying and wailing. It's at the reset of this timeline -- the fourth timeline -- KYOKO SAKURA As a civilian, Kyoko has long, raspberry red hair which is always seen up in a high ponytail tied by a black ribbon. She has a set of risen bangs which frame her equally as her sharp red eyes. Her signature outfit consists of a black crop-top under a dark teal hoodie which is unzipped at the bottom, leaving her belly button exposed. She wears dark blue denim shorts with fur around the bottom edges and black below-the-knee boots. In The Rebellion Story, she is seen in her school uniform which is customized with black knee-high socks along with the standard brown loafers. As a Magical Girl, she wears a maroon dress with an opening for her soul gem and a mandarin collar attached to it. Her soul gem is at her upper chest. The borders of her dress are covered with thick white frills that cover the opening of her dress and the back. She wears white bicep length sleeves with black buttoned cuffs around her wrists. Underneath, she wears a pleated magenta skirt and a black corset with white detailing. She wears tall red boots with white cuffs and white symbols just underneath which match the opening on her top, and black thigh-high socks. Kyoko can be somewhat stubborn and she has a fiery/tomboyish personality. She can be self-centered when she wants to be, though this is just a facade she made to herself and to others. In reality, Kyoko is kind and sympathetic when she sees those who are close to her in trouble. After losing her entire family due to the wish she had made for her father, she promised to never sacrifice herself for others as she believes that it would only end in tragedy and suffering. It is thought that she was afraid of getting herself hurt again, as well as the people she cared for the most. After Kyoko's father lost supporters, she and her family almost starved to death many times, which is the reason she loves eating food so much and hates those who waste it. She also threatens to kill anyone who wastes food, seen when she threatens to kill Sayaka for throwing an apple she gave her too the floor.Kyoko appeared to be very rude at first, and would often get into fights, almost killing Sayaka during a battle due to her own rage. However she proved she was actually someone with good intentions. Kyoko is initially threatening and vicious towards Sayaka, however this is later because Kyoko has made the same mistake Sayaka had made and is unable to watch her suffer any longer. Kyoko is very good at masking and internalizing her feelings to come off as a strong Magical Girl. She also sacrificed her life to kill Sayaka's Witch and make sure Sayaka is not alone. According to Sayaka, Kyoko has a child-ish taste when it comes to food. ABILITIES Prior to the series' events, Kyoko had an illusory powers, used mostly to distract Witches. After losing her family and friendship with Mami, she no longer possess that ability. Her spear can become a chain which she can use to tie people up. She can create walls from red diamonds which are formed like a lattice. In Magia Record, she is shown to be capable to create red staircases as well. BACKSTORY Kyoko's family used to be poor because no one would go to listen to her father's teachings at the church they owned. This was because of his 'radical' ideas on religion. Her wish was for people to listen to her father's teachings. However, this wish led to her downfall when her father learned of her magical girl activities. Believing his daughter to be a witch who sold her soul to the devil, he drank his worries away with alcohol. One day, he snapped and murdered Kyoko's mother and little sister (Momo) then proceeded to kill himself, leaving Kyoko as the sole survivor. Kyoko was also Mami Tomoe's magical girl apprentice at the time, as shown in "The Different Story" spin-off. They were a great team and friends that fought both familiars and witches, until the death of Kyoko's family. After the event, Kyoko decided that she and Mami should just go after witches and leave the familiars since it takes too much energy to kill them. (This decision was also brought on by the fact that she lost her enchantment magic and probably wouldn't be as strong as she was before and drag Mami down.) Due to Kyoko's sudden change in morals, her and Mami got into a fight that led them to break up their team and go their separate ways. MADOKA KANAME : Madoka Kaname has pink hair tied in pigtails, and wide oval-shaped pink eyes. When down, her hair is shoulder length. She has choppy bangs that are pointed and chin-length, framing her face. Madoka also wears two red ribbons in her hair, which hold up her pigtails. In her civilian form, she is mostly seen in her school uniform which is customized with white thigh-high socks along with the standard brown loafers. As a Magical Girl, Madoka wears a puffy pink dress with two bows arranged at either side of her skirt. She sports two bows in her hair, supporting her twin-tails, as well as a red ribbon around her neck, which is tied in a bow in the back. The front of her torso has a pale yellow segment surrounded by white frills with a white placket running down the center, decorated by five red buttons. She has two small straps that connect from the front to the back of the dress over her shoulders, and short, puffy sleeves with frilly ends. In between her shoulder blades and just below her neck, there is a heart-shaped hole in the back of her dress. Her skirt's ends are akin to a flower's petals; there are seven separate petal-shaped segments of her dress, which are all decorated with a red edge and three white teardrop-shaped designs, lay atop a big, white petticoat, which is notably frilly underneath. She also wears a pair of white gloves with pink trims around the wrists, white, knee-high stockings with frills just below the knee, and red, heeled shoes with ribbons tied behind them. As Ultimate Madoka, her goddess form, she has grown very long pink hair and kept her short pigtails on the sides, which are held up by large, white bows. Her eyes are now yellow, and her pupils became lighter in color. She wears a long, white, three-layered, frilly dress, which is shorter in the front, and gets increasingly longer nearing its end. On its inside, a vision of the Law of Cycle can be seen. The first two layers are purely white, and the final layer beneath the two is a light purple-y pink hue. Her collar is wavy and wide-cut and splits down the middle all the way to just below where Madoka's ribs would be, and is kept together near the beginning of the split by Madoka's Soul Gem, accompanied by what looks to be two smaller Soul Gems on either side Her sleeves go down to just above her elbow, and are airy and wavy. There are two layers to them, with the layer underneath it being purple-y pink. She also wears white gloves. Her stockings are baby pink and reach up to her thighs. She wears white pumps with a single wing on each side of the ankle. Personalityc Madoka is an 8th grader you can find anywhere. She cares about her friends and has a kind heart. She is always surrounded by friends thanks to her gentle and caring personality. She always wants to help and comfort people to the best of her ability, even if it doesn't end well sometimes. After becoming a Magical Girl, she begins taking more confidence in her action as well as becoming less scared and anxious. Thanks to her family background, she has managed to develop a strong sense of courage and mental strength. Madoka first appears as a naive, gentle girl from a kind family. Though sometimes shy, she makes friends without much difficulty and treats others gently and with respect. She is shown to be a level-headed person, capable of making decisions on her own. Madoka's mother, Junko, commented that she has always been a good child and never lies. She has low self-confidence, and she believes she does not have much to offer the world unless she is helping people, which makes becoming a magical girl appealing to her. She has been known to become flustered easily, and in certain circumstances, she can be easily manipulated by others playing on her insecurity and desire to help. As a magical girl, she is more obviously confident in herself than before her wish. Madoka often tries to help and understand others, even if it doesnโt end particularly well. Sheโs anxious, scared, and doesnโt fully understand The whole situation, but she desperately tries her best to do so. Abilities Madoka's main ability is unknown. However, it has been explained that Madoka and Iroha have a similar magic. With her bow, she can fire arrows of energy to attack with and even fire several at once to attack several enemies. As Ultimate Madoka, she can remove the corruptions of Soul Gems just by touching them. Not only as Ultimate Madoka but in episode 14 of Magia Record, when Madoka transforms into a Magical Girl, the impurities from her Soul Gem magically SHE WILL ONLY BECOME ULTIMATE MADOKA IN THE WALPURGISNATCH BATTLE WHEN SHE ISN'T STILL A MAGICAL GIRL HOMIRA WILL PREVENT. KYUBEY Kyubey is a small, cat-like creature. It has white fur and four ears, one pair representing the average cat and the other similar to those of a rabbit. It has red eyes and golden rings around its long ears. At the bottom of the ears, it appears that it is separated into three, along with a pink-white fade and three red ovals. These ears seem to be what turns the girls into Magical Girls, as seen when it makes Sayaka Miki's Soul Gem. It has a large tail and pointy ears, the inside of them being pinkish peach color. On its back is a hot pink egg-shaped oval that can flip open to remove Grief Seed fragments. Personality Despite appearing and sounding somewhat human, Kyubey is an Incubator and has no personal understanding of human emotion. Despite appearing as an individual, Kyubey and the rest of the Incubators do not seem to have a distinct sense of self. On the occasions where a Kyubey is killed, another will step out and continue to converse as if nothing had occurred. The Incubators are an emotionless race, but seek to exploit the thermodynamics-violating emotions of the human race to produce energy and prevent the Heat Death of the Universe, the ultimate end of the universe itself. The fact that the system they use to harvest this power-- Magical girls and Witches-- would be considered horrendously evil by humans is inconsequential to the Incubators. They choose this method because it is the most expedient to their goals. No action they take is ultimately malicious, as they do not themselves experience or understand the emotions required to act in such a way. Everything about Kyubey, however, is implied to make it as appealing as possible to the Magical Girls, as well as emulating behaviors and 'emotions' for the same purpose. This lack of understanding ultimately results in Kyubey being unable to predict or understand the actions of the Magical Girls or the results of those actions, despite them being obvious to the girls themselves. Kyubey is a creature who makes contracts with young girls to turn them into "magical girls" so that they can fight witches. In this process, the girl makes a wish and Kyubey grants it, but in return, the girl's soul is put in a small gem, which is also the source of their magic. If destroyed, the magic will disappear and the girl will die. If it is corrupted with darkness from grief, the gem will turn into a grief seed and the girl will turn into a witch. This is the ultimate fate of all Magical girls. Much like the rest of its race, Kyubey does not possess any human emotion. As seen in a later episode, Kyubey refers to magical girls' bodies as empty shells while explaining why Sayaka "died" when separated from her soul gem. This may also be why Homura Akemi got angry when Madoka Kaname threw it. Kyoko Sakura claims that it tricked and turned them into zombies, though it wasn't its intention. It believed that it was doing a good thing, seeing as it was convenient that they were invincible. Despite its emotionless attitude, it apparently likes hot baths and human food, as seen in episode 2. It is also able to bleed, though it can reproduce its body and eat the old one. This body reproduction ability can be used whenever Kyubey's body is too damaged to be used or simply at an inconvenient state. (For example, is shown covered in bullet holes from being shot at.) It has an unlimited amount of these extra "bodies" that could be used, but it says that it would be more convenient to not use them so much. Telepathic communication - Kyubey communicates with Puella Magi and potential Puella Magi through telepathic communication, as opposed to verbal. Exposure to this apparently enables Puella Magi and potential Puella Magi to also communicate telepathically amongst each other when Kyubey is nearby. Invisibility - Kyubey is invisible to everyone, except for Puella Magi and candidates. Normal humans do not seem to notice his presence at all, just as he never communicates with them. Teleportation - Kyubey has been evidenced to cross long distances in impossibly short time spans, the method for which is yet unknown, but can be assumed to be teleportation. In episode 10, he also fades into reality above Homura, which may be the visible manifestation of him teleporting. Wish granting - Kyubey can grant the wishes of young girls, in the same manner a Genie would. Unlike most genies, Kyubey does his best to grant the wishes accurately, without twisting the wording, and wishes that end up backfiring do so for factors entirely beyond the Incubator's control. Kyubey only allocates one wish per contract. It appears that Kyubey can only grant the wishes of others, since he has never been seen using his reality-warping power to his own ends. Wishes are fueled via the magical potential of the new Puella Magi. Because of this, while Kyubey can grant almost any regular wish, particularly high-impact wishes cannot be granted for most girls. Energy conversion/collection - Kyubey is able to collect energy from witch transformation and battles through unseen means. In Timeline 6, he collects it when magical girls drop grief seeds into a hatch-like "mouth" that opens in the red oval on his back. How he is able to transport this energy also remains a mystery. Soul Gem Creation - Kyubey is capable of rending young girls' souls from their bodies and placing them within small egg-shaped gemstones called soul gems. This makes the newly formed Puella Magi capable of transformation into their "magical girl form", granting increased agility, strength, endurance, pain threshold, conjuring of magical weaponry and other magical abilities. Although this process is invaluable to allow the girls to fight without being overwhelmed by pain, Kyubey tries to avoid mentioning fact that it involves separation of soul from body, as it tends to be traumatic to the Puella Magi. It is unknown whether Kyubey can create a Soul Gem at will, or whether a contract must first be formed. Replication - After being killed, another identical Kyubey will appear nearby and consume the remains of his predecessor if possible. This duplicate appears to retain most, if not all the knowledge of the last one. This may suggest a "hive mind" or cloning process. It has been stated that Kyubey "instantaneously generates a replacement body out of the surrounding mana". The ability may reference the saying "cats have nine lives", as Kyubey resembles a cat. Soul Gem Stimulation - As seen in episode 7, Kyubey can create impulses of certain Replication - After being killed, another identical Kyubey will appear nearby and consume the remains of his predecessor if possible. Soul Gem Stimulation - As seen in episode 7, Kyubey can create impulses of certain feelings on a soul gem simply by touching it. In Sayaka's case, he emulates a pike (probably mimicking Kyoko's) impaling Sayaka's stomach. Soul Gem Purification - Jubey, another Incubator, has been shown in the spinoff comics to be able to purify Soul Gems. Kyubey likely has the same ability. Advanced magical technology - The Incubators are stated to be a highly advanced alien race. They are obviously capable of space travel. The Inhibition Field seen in Rebellion movie is an example of their technology. Since they are not overly hostile to humanity and do not need to defend themselves if attacked, preferring to regenerate in a new body, it is unknown whether the Incubators dispose of any weaponry or offensive magic..
