Logan was returned to the laboratory from which he escaped some time ago. Professor Hudson intended to erase Logan's memory again and make him an obedient agent of Team X, but Sabretooth and Lady Deathstrike disagreed. Both of them passionately wanted Wolverine to die a painful death, and therefore refused to obey Hudson; Sabretooth knocked out the professor, and Lady broke the tank where Logan was placed for reprogramming. However, his enemies underestimated Wolverine's durability and ability to regenerate - when Lady Deathstrike was about to impale him with her claws, he caused her to wound Sabretooth, who was holding him, through his body. Logan then went to look for the Hulk, who was also about to be reprogrammed; security tried to stop him, but to no avail. Releasing the Hulk (who was in Banner's form at the time) from the tank, Wolverine warned him that they would soon have to fight together. Indeed, very soon they were attacked by Team X in full force. For some time, Logan, covering Banner, fought alone against everyone, but even for him it was not easy, and Omega Red managed to grab him with his tentacles. However, at this point, Banner finally transformed into the Hulk. But, having scattered the mercenaries, he attacked Logan himself, and he had to flee. For some time, Logan was accompanied by Deadpool; After the latter's unsuccessful attempt to stop the Hulk with a grenade, Logan pushed his former colleague towards the enraged giant in order to delay him at least a little. A moment later, he himself was attacked by Omega and was severely beaten by him, but the Hulk tore the mercenary away from Logan and trampled him into the floor, after which he began to destroy the laboratory building. Wolverine was glad that this damned place would finally be destroyed, but when the giant smashed the reactor that fed the laboratory into pieces, a powerful explosion threw Logan out. Having flown quite a long distance through the air, Logan, upon landing, saw flames behind the forest and heard the triumphant roar of the Hulk. When the Worldbreaker appeared before him again, Logan invited him to resume the interrupted battle.
