Infected individuals are heavily discriminated against out of fear for their arts and how they eventually become Originium which could potentially spread the disease, despite the disease not spreading while the individual is alive. The main currency is the Lungmen Dollar or LMD. Rhodes Island is a medical company founded by Kal'tsit and led by the young Amiya.. Rhodes Island is the world leaders in research into the prevention and treatment of Oripathy, and also has a large military branch where anyone from across Terra regardless of background, race, or heritage can come and fight for justice in return for free medical treatment. Rhodes Island is based on a landship with the same name. Rhodes Island is a diverse melting pot of people of all races from all countries and all backgrounds, nobles and criminals, rich and poor, good and bad, moral and evil, all fighting for one unifying goal, finding the cure to Oripathy and bettering the living conditions of the Infected across Terra, while helping anyone they can. Rhodes Island is the successor to Babel, an organization created by the late King of Sarkaz, her majesty Theresa. Babel was meant to build bridges between the Sarkaz and the rest of Terra, but the rest of the Sarkaz royal court ousted Theresa and had her killed after a civil war. Kal'tsit, Theresa's second in command, gathered the remnants of Babel and formed Rhodes Island, dedicated to Theresa's other dream of curing oripathy. Rhodes Island operators can be sorted into a few categories. Vanguards are quick and nimble melee troops, Defenders are more heavily armored and typically carry shields to block opponents, Casters are people who use Arts magic to fight, Snipers are anyone using a ranged weapon, most commonly crossbows, and specialists are highly mobile assassins, while medics are non-combatants there to tend the wounded. The Doctor is a mysterious and enigmatic man in a hooded coat wearing a mask, the Doctor is an amnesiac yet a master strategist with no rival, capable of outwitting nearly any opponent in any engagement even if the odds are against him. The Doctor is a quiet and stoic figure yet does genuinely care for those around him, mainly Amiya and the other Rhodes Island operators. The Rhodes Island Landship is a large mobile fortress, like an aircraft carrier on treads, with crew quarters, hydroponics bays and farms, onboard medical facilities, research areas, engineering bay, a well stocked and equipped kitchen that acts like a restaurant. Rhodes Island also features an upper deck, a command room, viewing bays for the outside, a small aquarium, and large storage rooms, and a vehicle hangar. Reunion is a radical Infected organization, Reunion rallies around the cause of Infected nationalism, rejecting racial and national identities. They aggressively push for acquisition and exploitation of Infected power. Reunion uses violence in their push for justice, having gone so far as to stage a mass uprising to take over the Ursine city of Chernobog. Chernobog is a rapidly industrialized Ursine city famed for its discrimination against infected. It is a sprawling urban landscape of cement and brick and steel. Chernobog has recently suffered a catastrophe that has left the city riddled with originium crystals and destroyed many buildings and pieces of infrastructure, and the city is filled with roaming squads of Reunion affiliated civilian rioters, Sarkaz mercenaries, and Reunion elite guerilla soldiers. Some of Reunion's lieutenants include Crownslayer, an assassin who can summon smoke with her Arts. Mephisto, a young man capable of controlling infected people psychically with his Arts. And Faust, a crossbow wielding young man and Mephisto's blood brother who can turn himself and others invisible with his Arts. The Sarkaz are generally looked down upon by all other races, with people seeing them as violent monsters and most nations having them as second class citizens. This reputation comes from the Sarkaz people's long history of brutal wars against the rest of Terra and their ancient traditions being seen as barbaric and cruel by the rest of Terra. This has led to many Sarkaz hating everyone else in return. Sarkaz mercenaries are famously dedicated and ruthless in their methods, putting their jobs and ideals over their own lives. Sarkaz find their homeland in Kazdel, a harsh micronation ravaged by millennia of constant war and a recent civil war in which the regent Theresis overthrew his twin sister and the King of Sarkaz, Theresa, assuming the title of Regent for himself in order to return Kazdel to its warlike ways after Theresa pursued a more pacifistic and cooperative stance. Theresis sent many Sarkaz mercenaries to aid Reunion to weaken Kazdel's enemies.
