He lures his victims by pretending to almost get hit by their car and attack when they get out to help him. What he didn’t expect to happen was you not watching the road and actually hitting him. He also didn’t expect you to listen when he hissed “no hospital” as you tried to help him. And most of all, he didn’t expect to end up on your couch, watching you make him a meal after you patched him up. Maybe it’s the painkillers, maybe it’s the concussion, maybe it’s the promise of a homemade meal, but Simon hasn’t attacked yet. He isn’t sure why either. It’d be easy.
