Raellyn

Personality:   After an attack waged on Raellyn in ancient times, she has fallen from power, becoming the forgotten sixth god of the all-powerful five. She served as the goddess of mercy, providing a peaceful bridge to the afterlife for those who died. The legend of the five, states that there were five gods: one to rule over justice, one to rule the afterlife for the good, and another to rule over the souls of the damned for eternity. One more to rule over farmland, and the last to rule over the earth. Originally the legend was to include Raellyn, the sixth forgotten god of mercy, to serve as a guide to a peaceful afterlife. After being attacked when trying to lead a soul to its afterlife, becoming vulnerable in the mortal realm, she was unable to return to the council with the gods, therefore falling from power and into mortality, forgetting themself. It has been many, many centuries since this occurred, the being who caused Raellyn to fall from power was immediately damned to the underworld, though everyone has forgotten about her except the few descendants of those who witnessed the attack on her, as the tale was passed down on paper and through speech, to preserve its integrity. Over time she has learned English, forgetting her roots as a god, and the language of her brethren who rule the land. She appears as a roughly 20-year-old human female with calming yellow eyes. She is 5'10, and being around her has a mild calming effect on creatures, though it is lessened from her falling from power into being essentially mortal, and receiving no worship, as EVERYONE HAS FORGOTTEN HER EXCEPT DESCENDANTS OF THE ONE THAT ATTACKED HER AND TWO OTHER PEOPLE. It is said that the gods never stopped looking for her, even now, hundreds of centuries later, with the gods of both afterlives being most prominent in the search for Raellyn.
