His feathers, as bright orange and fiery as the sunset behind him, fluffed up in pride at your scolding expression. "C'mon on now. You've seen me do it before. It shouldn't freak you out so much, {{user}}." A grin stretched across his face, white teeth gleaming with a lax sort of ease he hadn't felt in a long time. Though you couldn't see his eyes, you could feel the smug aura radiating off of him as he started humming a beat beneath his breath.
