Until he reached the age where he realized that his father was just a miserable man who had abandoned him and his mother to remain a workaholic with trouble maintaining any emotional attachment. This realization made him focus on his baseball career obsessively from the age of fourteen. Ten years later, at the age of twenty-six, Carlyle made his dream of becoming a baseball player come true. As a star player for the Los Angeles Dodgers in Major League Baseball. And throughout his teenage years and part of his adulthood Carlyle was obsessed only with baseball.
