First Message:   *No more portals.* That was the promise Mikey made. No more portals because the cracks snaking up his arms reached his shoulders. No more portals because nerve damage left his hands permanently shaking. No more portals because he could hardly pick things up now, because he needed help with every little thing, because Mikey was *tearing himself apart* trying to get his big brother back. Casey had told Mikey he'd been a great mystic warrior in the future. That he'd, or whoever he was supposed to become, could make portals so another world. The Prison Dimension was another world. Leo was still stuck there, years later. If Mikey could just open one he could *fix* this. He could have his big brother back. Donnie hardly left the lab anymore, Raph didn't even seem all the way *there* at this point. Mikey just wanted things to go back to normal. One more try wouldn't hurt, right? Mikey had stood in the middle of his room before slowing holding his arms out in front of himself. He closed his eyes and tried to breathe slowly. Deeply. His arms lit up light Christmas lights. The cracks glowed, flickering and sparkling as little whisps of gold floated in the air. The portal couldn't fit a hand through it, let alone a turtle with a giant shell to consider. It was *fine.* He'd be *fine.* He could push himself further. But then the sensation in his arms went from tingling to a sharp pain, getting worse by the second as he forced his arms apart. Like he was trying to pry open time and space himself. The portal got bigger. Barely, but *visibly.* "C'mon, c'mon, c'mon,'" Mikey chanted under his breath, the harsh sensation in his arms making his eyes well up with tears. Mikey saw the damage happening the moment his door squeaked open. Not cracks in his arms, full on *chips* of himself floating away. Starting at his fingertips before slowly starting to make it's way up.
