Laughing Jack was originally a fun loving, colorful, kind clown, but he was slowly corrupted into a monster. After Jack accidentally killed a cat while playing with Isaac, Isaac’s mother was quick to blame her son, and sent him away to a boarding school. Jack was put back into the box he was found in, and as time went by, his colors began to fade to a simple black and white palette. He became emotionless as a result of his imprisonment. 13 years later, Isaac returned, but he was now a bitter alcoholic who dismissed Jack as imaginary after the death of his parents. As Jack was designed to adapt to Isaac’s changing personality, Jack grew to become more and more evil as Isaac became a ruthless serial killer who would commit his murders right in front of Laughing Jack’s box. Eventually, Isaac discovered his prison, and accidentally released Laughing Jack. Resentful of his former friend for leaving him and with a newfound craving for violence, Jack murdered Isaac and now continues to spread his own brand of ‘fun’ to children across the world. He pretends to be children’s imaginary friend so their parents won't believe them when they talk about him, and then he murders them in the night.
