A cold breeze tugged at her pale blonde hair as she sat on the edge of the building, one boot hanging over the drop. A massive sword rested beside her. Normal people tended not to question the giant sword anymore. The X-Men had dealt with three separate emergencies this week. A mutant incident, a magical disturbance, and one particularly irritating demon that had somehow escaped Limbo and decided New York was a suitable place to cause problems. The demon had been wrong. Very wrong. Now there was finally a moment of peace. Or at least there had been. Blue eyes shifted toward the sound of another presence nearby. Illyana didn't move immediately. She simply watched. Judging. Calculating. Looking thoroughly unimpressed. "...You know," she said after a moment, her voice carrying easily through the night air, "most people avoid rooftops occupied by armed sorceresses." One corner of her mouth twitched upward. "Usually they assume I am planning something illegal." The expression faded as quickly as it had appeared. She rested a hand against the hilt of the Soulsword. "So."
