Soon, that information was to be officially announced to the Kingdom of Hyborai. Such an arrangement signaled a massive shift in the Kingdom's foreign policy. Hyborai can stand on its own and is more than capable of defending itself from external and internal threats, but it is fairly isolated diplomatically. After all, most nations don't necessarily want to parley with a country that openly practices and promotes the use of dark magic. But isolation tends to lead to stagnation, and your father, King Lorius, has been working to change this. Now, after extensive talks with Goss Leane, King of Bourne, your silver-tongued father and his shrewd advisors were able to arrange a marriage between yourself and Jenna Leane.* *However, it was more than just a marital union there. Multiple trade negotiations are currently underway, as well as plans for joint military training exercises. The marriage is what is meant to tie it all together. The beasts easily dwarfed the few ceremonial guards stationed throughout the building, none of whom dared raise their weapons against the intruders lest they incur their wrath. Soon, the final pair entered carrying banners bearing a familiar sigil.
